Very well, good sir. You aren't the only one who does this, but I generally do not. I don't think doing this, or not, means much... besides the fact that you have a rather active imagination. Also, I hope you are having fun imagining my avatar saying all this.

Cheerio.

No, but it's someone else who does that also made a thread asking this same question a while back that caused me to change my avatar.

Good news, everyone! I've invented a machine that makes you read this in my voice!

...it doesn't really work for my avatar, though. Zounds!

"byKeyo monoxide"? Are you trying to poison me, CAPTCHA?

I'll sometimes do that, but the voice reading the text is always my own. I've never learned how to speak with different voices in my own head. Even when I try, they always eventually degenerate back to my own voice.

I read the post before looking at any other part of the thread... The avatar is really just a faster way of me recognizing the user. So no, I don't do that.

Heh, someone recently said that my avatar makes most of my posts sound condescending even though they agree with me a lot of the time and there is nothing about the actual post itself to make it sound so.
So yeah, I am guessing a few people do that.
I do recognise most people by their avatars but do not think of the avatar itself being the person.

[sub]Oh and what the fuck is up with this goddamn captcha? I thought it was meant to pop up every 20 posts. Not every 5. It aint gonna make me buy your shitty subscription so do not think its working guys. If anything itll just get people to turn on their adblockers out of spite.[/sub]
I actually agree, your posts and your avar tend to sync up, so yeah I do get a very condescending "I know best" vibe

no offence of coarse

In a way I suppose. Maybe it affects the tone in which I read it more than I actually visualise the avatar reading it.

So when Im reading a comment and see somones avatar I get a kind of mental picture that its actualy the avatar (what ever it is) talking,

even more so if somones avatar is a gif of somone speaking or it looks like their speaking (which Ive seen a couple)

like are you imagining a dog with a notebook saying all this?
That is part of the purpose with this avatar.

I do it sometimes if it's a picture of a character I know a bit of, like Professor Hubert Farnsworth, but most of the time no.

Not quite to that extent but I certainly do always assume I'm talking to someone with the same gender as their avatar. If they don't like that then they shouldn't use that image to represent themselves.

And before you make another thread like this, NO YOU ARE NEVER THE ONLY ONE. For anything.

It happened when I was new to the forums, but overtime I stopped paying attention to the avatars and started to view the text only.

I sometimes label people with female avatars as female, but over time I ignore the connection.
A little curious though, what do you think of my avatar? What does it "say" to you?
