Do you ever find yourself REALLY loving games with oceans in them?

I'm having a blast with AC4: Black Flag just for the sailing alone. I keep having to do all these missions to unlock more things, but they're just annoyances that stand between me and my boat.

I used to play Pirates: Gold exactly for the same reason. I wish there were more games like that around.

Looking forward to try out Submerged. Seems to be right up my alley.

I really enjoyed exploring the underwater depths in GTAV. I'm probably alone in that, but whatever. Also, I haven't played it myself, but I watched my sone playing AC: Black Flag and it looked like some really fun sailing.

My favorite disappointing game of all time is still a Pirates of the Caribbean skin slapped on to what was meant to be Sea Dogs 2 (or 3). Sailing was just freaking awesome. But the game was published by Zenimax so it was a bug-ridden clusterfuck, of course.

I love a good ocean in a game. I play a lot of the Silent Hunter series, and can very easily just spend time watching my uboat bob around like a bath toy in a well simulated squall.

As Dr. Johnson said, Every man thinks meanly of himself for not having been a soldier, or not having been at sea. I'm the latter, and games make a convenient substitute.
