I would tell friends if it was a bad joke and if it's actually terrible then we'll laugh over how bad it is but if it's someone I don't know I just tell them that it's not funny.

Mean? Maybe. But at least I'm honest with them.

*Unless it's one of my nieces or nephews, in which case, their jokes are almost exclusively knock-knock jokes and I don't want to be a dick.

no and i usually try to make the person feel awkward/disliked just so they wont come back with the same shit...i dont mean to sound like a dick it's just i don't care enough about people that much
