Does anyone else just search videos that they know will make them angry for some reason? I have a strange habit of looking up stuff about the WBC and the EDL/Islam fights and it just makes my blood boil. WHy do I do this? I know it will make me upset and furious but I do it anyways. Does this happen to anyone else?

I have never searched to get angry over anything on youtube, however I do frequently troll the people that say can't spell Ignorant without IGN, mostly because they complain about scores *rolls eyes* and then I basically ask them whats wrong, and they get mad :D

I don't quite search them out but I tend to enjoy Atheist videos (Philhellenes, Thunderf00t, The Atheist Experience, and the Amazing Atheist to a much lesser extent) an lets just say the comments section for those videos are rather... intense. It is to be expected and I generally try to be respectful when I do feel like I need to respond to something and often times I get respectful responses back. However when someone replied that Christopher Hitchens throat cancer was "Gods way of silencing the nonbeliever" my blood didn't just boil, it ignited. There was no flame shield large enough to protect that individual. What seemed like every single viewer for that video went after him. As far as I know he took down the comment a few hours after posting it and a few comments of his I saw on similar videos were being attacked as well. I think he shut down his account due to the number of people who went after him through it. If there was ever a scorched earth policy for comment warfare, this was the prime example.

I reeeaaaly dislike stressful situations, so I usually don't. That said, I like to fact check people who make outrageous statements. Really ticks me off when someone does shit like that.

All the damn time

I must be a crazy masochistic because I'm always watching videos of some journalist or intellectual or religious figure I disagree with, all in the spirit of "know thine enemy." Nationalists, religious fundamentalists, racists, etc; but they're low targets.

EDL vs Radical Islam is also one of my favourites to get me riled up. Wasn't it Harry Truman who said "If side A is winning, we help side B. If side B is winning, we help side A"?

But some of the best ones come from America where many talking heads and some radio hosts don't even try to be diplomatic ? or whatever madness crawls forth from Fox News. I can?t get enough.

No.
That seems ridiculously stupid and counter productive, so I'd rather just do stuff that I actually enjoy.

If there is racism of some religious or atheist hate, then calling the phsycological beatdown is definately morally viable. :)

I tend to be a troll in the comments section a lot. Even got a few top comments from troll responses. It's a habit I have...

Not with Youtube but with the comments on any political piece on Google news.

It's gotten so bad that my fiance has asked several times "are you looking at the comments again? I hear 'angry typing' coming from your laptop.

I seriously cannot control my rage when I read them...

Wtf is EDL?

And yes, i occasionally spend an hour or two watching such videos only to troll the comments
The English Defence League.*spits*

A bunch of racist arseholes who look for fights, essentially. A splinter group of the BNP (British National Party *spits*) with similarly racist, but more specifically Islamophobic views.

OP: No, but I'll definitely correct factual innacuracies if they're in the comments. Not in a confrontational way.

So you, and most of you other guys, only watch things you agree with? Only listen to people who will support your preset views? Just shunning those bunch of crazies, fanatics, and fools? Not interesting in trying to understand (much less respect) a radical enemy?

Good form! The world needs more people like you.

The only time it happens is if someone makes a thread about a certain topic or send me a link to so with something that will blatantly make me angry. I'll still make myself watch the video.

I don't actively search for these videos though.

No, I read stuff I don't agree with, I just don't do it for the sole purpose of getting angry for no reason.

It's the England Defense League, a bunch of racist islamophobes who go out to make muslim's lives in the UK a living hell.
