Do you feel holiday spirit?

I've noticed that about three years ago I just stopped caring about holidays (even birthdays) as they no longer "felt" any different then any other day of the year. I attribute this to just a sign of growing up of course but I'm amazed some people still "feel" holidays as they get older. So Escapist, do you "feel" holiday spirit or have you grown out of it or are too cynical (as I admit to being occasionally) to enjoy them?

I know exactly what you mean. I don't know exactly when I grew out of it, can't really remember. Maybe when I was around 11 or 12. I have no idea how people can still get in to the "holiday spirit", it all just seems so artificial to me.

I lost it when I hit that age when you realize it's less about joy and celebration and more commercial shams.

I Enjoy holiday spirit sometimes.
Yesterday I stopped at Target and they already had Christmas supplies and fake trees out...which kind of completely killed the Halloween Spirit in me :\
