Yes, I do feel quite a bit of disconnect with my peers. Thus the glory of living now, with the allmighty INTERNET. *fanfare* It let's us seek out like-minded people, forming societies and organizations to remind us that, yes, we are not freaks who can't relate to anyone.

Seriously, though, I don't understand why people who are going to be able to vote in the near future seem so immature all the time.

Totally. I'm not a liberal, I don't spend hours on end texting (I don't even really text at all)I don't use facebook, and I really hate most current music (except for Death Metal and orchestral scores) and have a taste for classical music. I'm a little odd in that regard. Also, I'm not a wigger, a drinker or a pot-head.

I'm pretty sure I was born in the wrong century. I enjoy Frank Sinara, The Ink Spots, those old style movies and musicals, all things like that and I love the idea and the lifestyle of the 20s-40s.. except that one part in the middle.

Anyway I could easily give up today's technology to live in the 20s.

I'm too far removed from my generation in general. I'm too intelligent to relate to people...

I also felt like this, but, I don't know where or when I belong, all I do is strange to everyone who knows me, my way of thinking has been accused of being from centuries ago, but I can't imagine why, nor they can tell me properly. In the end, I belong here and now, so, I guess it matters little to nothing.

I buy and listen to vinyl albums. Most of the stuff I listen to is from the 80's. I grew up playing NES. Yeah, sometimes I wonder...

I'm 19, btw

Hell no. I may not act like most girls my age but I don't want to live in a world without video games or internet. I'm quite comfortable where I am, thank you.

I agree with this, everyone claims they don't fit into their generation, when most of the time what people are looking for is in another country, not time period. But if I HAD to choose another generation, I'd say America in the 50's.. If I'm right in thinking that was when Jazz and that was in it's prime?

It seems me and my group of friends are the only ones that don't enjoy sticking it to the man by destroying private property

After the bombs fall, the Escapist Faction and the Chan Faction will be the factions rivaling for Earth.
Think of them as "Brotherhood of Steel"(Escapist) and "Enclave"(Chan)
But oh great overlord. What if the channers don´t survive me?

OT:I feel fine here.It has all the technology,so i´m good. But there are somethings that could be improved.

I should be born in a time where time travel is possible. Then I could be in the generation I choose.

Otherwise I was born in the wrong species. I should have been a Time Lord
That icon is from the Chameleon Circuit video, isn't it? As awkward a your post is, I can't argue with Chameleon Circuit.

Anyway, I feel I was born maybe a decade late - my childhood was made up of things stolen from the eighties and nineties, and now I miss it. I can't stand the kind of stuff that passes for culture with my age group. I have this one friend (we're really different, but we've been close since junior kindergarden) who watches Disney channel, listens to the Jonas Brothers, listens to hip hop... we often go see movies together and fight over which one to see - she likes stuff like Bride Wars and Alvin and the Chipmunks, where as I want to see... I dunno. Something with actual meaning. The one movie we've ever agreed on without a fight was Nine.

I wouldn't mind living in the 30's, though. It was a good time for the middle class. I'd be looked down on a lot more than I already am for my asperations and values, but maybe that just proves I should be a hippie in the 70's.
