I'm better at shooters when I'm tired, because I don't think, just act. That's not a rule, but happens most of the time. I tend to avoid games with storyline when I'm tired/sleepy though.

My skill fluctuates on different days. Some days I'm great all day and night, others I can't even hit someone in the torso.

I don't get tired when gaming, and when I get tired, gaming gets rid of it.

Well..considering the only time I have to play is after work, walking the dog, and eating dinner that usually rounds out to 8-9pm so by default I only play games when I'm tired...

I think it's a fine line but I am definitely a bit better when tired. If I'm fully awake it's hard for me to focus on the game but if I'm a little tired my brain isn't whirring all over the place so I have the ability to get into the zone and blow heads off but that's only for FPS's.

In RTS's I'm completely useless unless my brain is functional. The worst offender is Company of Heroes because there is so much to pay attention to and the game is so fast paced PLUS battles need to be micromanaged or else you risk losing everything to one squad of riflemen behind cover. Warhammer 40k I could play while tired but I didn't have that edge and DoW2 I could play in all stages because it was just so stupid easy.

I find it harder to play games while tired, last level on gears 2 with Dom as my thicky AI, couldn't do it at 10:30 came back the next morning and did it, but then again it could be the tea...

I do worse when I'm a tired. Sometimes when I play and I'm tired I just stand there until I realize that I'm playing.

When I'm tired, I tend to get sloppy, do foolish mistakes and therefore my performance will drop while playing.
Plus I tend to get angry easily when tired, so I try not to infuriate myself needlessly.
(Tired + bad performance + anger = broken controller etc) ;P

When I'm relaxed, I enjoy the game more and the improved performance shows immediately. And games are always more fun when you enjoy them yourself.

Not really when I'm tired, but certainly when I'm more relaxed. When I'm more relaxed, I seem to be able to make the needed moves faster. If I get too frustrated or wound up, I seem to make more mistakes.

It..kinda varies with me. I've kindof become half nocturnal so it's possible. There is something of a trend it seems. Then again, it could be that everyone else is nowhere near as able to function that way and I'm just less affected.

Well the clue is in my name.

I play extremely well at times between 1-5am. It's just natural to me. I play better full stop when it's dark and the only light is the tv/monitor. I play guitar hero better when it's louder. I play CoD better in silence (not the game, the room).

But overall I play everything better when it's very late night/very early morning.

Exactly, I seem to often exhibit patterns quite similar.
I just can't help but wonder if it isn't all me performing better, but most others performing worse at such times.

It depends on the kind of tired.
When I'm just tired from a days work, it's about 11pm and my eyes are falling all the time, I generally suck at everything I do.
But when I'm at a friends house, we spent the whole day drinking, smoking and playing games I tend to get extremly focused at about 3am when my whole body just exists for the purpose of beating that goddamn final boss in Super Ghouls n' Ghosts. In that state I'm awesome at most Games, though I'm better at old Games, cos newer Games tend to be way more exhausting for your eyes, specially FPS's.

I dont have a trend really. On cod 4 i sometimes own with 21 kills 3 deaths and i sometimes fail with a very low k/d ratio. I rarely get something in the middle. I think when im tired i play a little better, some of my best games have been at night.

At 4:00am GMT with a cup of tea and some caffeine strips I play much better. I don't know why, maybe because I'm tired I feel I need to focus more and as a result I do. Either that or maybe its because my body clock is truly f****d.

I'm not very good when I'm tired. Though I'm better when I get drunk, become horrible when I'm hammered; but ascend to god-like status when Tucker Max drunk.
