It's just a running joke.
If you get offended by something that ridiculous, you should probably stay away from the internet.

It has only happened to me once in my life. It did sort of shock me to be called a Ginger, but after I got over the initial shock I was basically ambivilent to it.

After seeing the south park episode I became instantly proud. Better red than dead, amirite?

I'm not a ginger, but I know a girl who is one, and I constantly rag on her for being ginger. She's pretty much embraced the whole thing though, even the part about gingers having no souls. Because you know they don't.

What's that? People have already made that South Park reference you say? Too bad.

Also, might I add that calling someone a ginger isn't like calling someone the n-word or anything. It's just a description, like blond, or brunette. So there's no reason to get mad if you're called what you provably are.

I've never been called a ginger on account of my having dark brown hair. But if someone did call me a ginger, especially in anger, I would probably burst out laughing. In fact, I'm smiling about it right now.

I lash my auburn locks in the miscreant's face.

In reality: I'm ginger enough to be kicked on Kick-a-Ginger Day, but not hugged on Hug-a-Ginger Day. This means that I'm not called "ginger" often, just often enough for me to really not care and shut down any further insults of that type.

Ginger wasn't always derogatory, and it's crazy that it is now. I've always liked the word, and I'm definitely attracted to ginger girls. Red hair and freckles are awwwwesome.

It's always confused me when someone calls me "ginger" as my hair is a brown/blonde colour, but not ginger. The only time I have referred to someone as ginger, it is when I have to describe the person to someone else. But no. I don't think I know of anyone that gets angry when they get called ginger.

For the most part, i don't mind being called a ginger. However whenever it is being used in genuine hate towards me, i feel deeply offended.
Is this the case for all gingers? or do you mind being called ginger in all circumstances?
I agree totally! My friends can call me it and I really don't care, when some one I don't know and have never met first calls 'Ginge' rather than 'Adam' I do have a tendency to swear.

Yes, I'm offended. Mostly because I'm not ginger. Although now I come to think about it, I've never actually met a ginger person I liked... and also, the guy who broke my nose was ginger...

Fuck you guys.

I have brown hair but I think ginger hair is really attractive on a girl, prefer it to blonde which everyone else seems to go for.

My hair is naturally blonde-brown, currently a sort of shitty burgundy.

When people call me ginger it's fucking hilarious.

I do have unique hair, but TECHNICALLY it isn't the "red" or "orange" color, it's a little darker and I don't mind having it but allot of people see it as "red hair".
I also have fair skin but apparently I make the "red" hair and fair skin combination look normal somehow.
Some retards have called me some names about it but it was weak-sauce in terms of how clever it was as the best insults they could express didn't really do anything other than point out "red hair".

But does it bother me to be referred to as "ginger"? Nah, people just don't know what else to call me. I have never been called "ginger" as an insult (or if someone has then wow, that's kind of sad that it was so unnoticeable), it was usually more jokingly than insulting and from my very own friends. More often than calling me ginger, they try to figure out just what the hell I am to begin with.

Ginger or not, even the worst insults people have tried to come up with didn't really affect me and neither should it affect you, I mean come one, those are just lame ass insults that don't really have any effect.

It's like me saying "haha! BRUNETTE!!! HEY EVERYBODY! LOOK AT THE BRUNETTE! HAHA!"
...
and? What's wrong with Brunettes?

For some reason everyone thinks I'm ginger, and it really gets to me... come to think of it, that's probably why they say it XD
