For those who don't know or those who dare not play a game from two generations ago, Megaman Legends was a pretty big thing. It was the first in the Megaman franchise to not only pull off a great 2D-to-3D shift in graphics(which were giant polygons, but it was the '90s), but it was the first one to branch off from ye olde eight master bots. Sadly, for some reason, Capcom went back to that formula, but their coming out with a third Megaman Legends so maybe they'll start following that formula again if they see how much better it does than others(YOU CAN'T FOOL ME CAPCOM, I CAN SEE THROUGH YOUR LITTLE DISHUISE WITH BATTLE NETWORK AND STARFORCE!). The Megaman Legends gameplay combined using the 3D plane with the tried and true method of dungeon crawling. Not as in top down but there is more exploration involved in it, there's more than walking left and beating the same best. You can actually choose how you buster works(rate of fire, rounds fired, range, power) choose how you super weapon and just get a feel of everything. We all have reasons for liking Megaman Legends and if you haven't... how old are you? This game came out during the PS1, I would tell you to go to Google and look up the pSX emulator than go find a cd age file of Megaman Legends if you haven't played it, but that would be illegal;). Anyways we all got something we love about so let's talk about it.

I loved (still loving it) it for all the right reasons: the 3D plane, the exploration, the characters, the customization, the characters and writing, and Data(the f$&@#g monkey ruled!) but you know what really stuck out at me? It's how it was like a Saturday morning cartoon. The games writing, voice acting, characters and character design, and environment all seemed like the premise for a cartoon you'd either wake up early on Saturday to watch or stay up late to catch it on Toonami. If network executives start losing views and begin to ask,"quick think of a good show or an example to put on Saturday for kids cartoons," I'm going to point my finger at Megaman Legends.

I want more games like Megaman Legends, specifically more games that make me feel like I'm playing my childhood staples when growing up.

So do you guys like Megaman Legends? You excited for MML: 3? What do you like about it? Answer the question!

Really liked MML, MML2 was almost as good, Misadventures of Tron Bonne was my favorite.

Now, if MegaMan doesn't get to see three naked chicks in this one, I'll be surprised and disappointed.

I love Megaman Legends. ..I played through it just recently.

However I liked Megaman Legends 2 much better. Even The Misadventures of Tron Bonne was better :p but MML was the first. So it gets credit.

Sadly I was incredibly excited for MML3. ...until they said it was for the 3DS.

Fuck. Me. Hard.

Means I won't be playing it >.>

the Legends franchise is my favorite of all of the megaman games. Usually around every two years I it again.

I was totally excited for legends 3, and then a little part of me died when I heard it was for the 3DS.

Here's hoping for a port.

It wasn't great. Hell, there was a lot about that game that was pretty bad. The controls were stiff, the dungeons were both confusing and unmemorable (it's easy to get lost when every hall looks the same), most weapons were only useful in very specific situations or not useful at all, characters were annoying and the story was poorly written. I loved every minute of it anyway and still play it from time to time. There was just something charming about it that I latched onto.

Yeah it was the best! Still is because it doesn't involve the EIGHT F&@#%*G MASTER BOTS OF ANNOYANCE and has you explore the 3D worlds and dungeons and makes it all cartoony, Saturday cartoony. If you do want to play it I would recommend going to emulator-zone.com and going to the Playstation 1 section and downloading PSX ver.1.13 and not ePSXe(takes too long, PSX takes alot less time), finding a rom for Megaman Legends, hooking up your PS3 controller to your PC to give it that old school feel of playing it like it was on your old PS1(I can send you a link), but that would be wrong; ) (hint-hint-nudge-nudge,wink-wink, it's totally cool you will not get arrested no one can find a PS1 or games for it nowadays). Do it, your missing out on alot, the Servbots have got that hilarious combo of adorability and humor.

Your inner child remembering the days of it's youth when it woke up early on Saturdays to watch cartoons of wacky characters doing extraordinary things, like Megas XLR or the first season of Pokémon and maybe... DBZ?

It's my favorite Megaman game, and in my top 10 favorite games period. Too bad they're putting it on the 3DS, but then maybe it will be more focused on fun than graphics.

Yes,
it's the only reason I got the 3ds.
YOU MY FRIEND, respect the creator the Megaman series, Legends is actually his favorite spin off but is disappointed in it's lack of success. He loves it alot, I just hope he comes back to work on it or left an apprentice behind at Capcom who had his exact vision in mind for MML:3.

P.S. Should I wait for the inevitable upgraded, lighter, and skinner 3DS or buy the bulky one now. I was thinking about getting it right as something good came out.

I LOVED MML 1 and 2. I also loved The Misadventures of Tronn Bonne which I can't find a ROM for it that doesn't freeze during the damn tutorial.

Kinda agitates me that it's only for the 3DS. I love the series, but not enough to buy the 3DS just to play it.

I think you're referring to MegaMan Universe, the modern remake of MM2. It's an easy mistake seeing as how the announcement was so recent.

I haven't played 1 but MegaMan Legends 2 is one of my favorite games for the PSOne. And you can't say it's the nostalgia talking, I recently played it again and it holds up great. I'm kinda disappointed it's a 3DS exclusive since there is absolutely no chance or possibility whatsoever in any situation, that I might get one.
