No I most certainly do not hate it, because that would imply I have strong feelings about it. I dont, because the Wii is not even worthy of strong feelings of dislike. In fact, with some amount of pleading in my voice, I recently suggested my elder sister take the shovelware gimmick off our hands for a few months to at least give it some use. It hasnt been used in months, and when it was last used, it was only for a week on Wii Fit before I became bored with it, which I masterfully guessed I would after a week of "fitness".
The ironic thing is, Im the only "hardcore gamer" in our house, yet my whole family feels this way, so that shows it can also be viewed as a gimmick by casual gamers too. Thats exactly how my brother feels about it for example, and he only ever plays football manager once in a blue moon. The Wii has about as much long term entertainment value in our household as a tamagotchi.
My Xbox 360 on the other hand - the most shoddily made monstrosity of a bullshit console I have ever come across has both my love and hatred. Its a noisy, faulty piece of shit that has many fantastic titles to its name and a great and accessible online service. The 360 is the console that takes up all of my strong feelings, both positive and negative.
