1. I've got a few fetishes, only to be discussed through PM's I think.

2. I've done a lot of introspection regarding "un"-said fetishes and have come up with what I believe to be reasonably accurate origins. I believe that they stem largely from what may or may not have been naturally occurring tendencies that were stifled due to societal expectations (and incidents of abuse that further turned me off those tendencies). Participating in those fetishes now is a "reclamation" of power (of sorts), thus their continued draw for me.

I also believe that some of my fetishes have to do with early sexual exploration and my environment...though they weren't directly related, their co-existence at the right time have created some sort of combined urge-sight memory.

I have a strange connections with fetishes. I can be attracted to many fetishes along the spectrum, some more then others (quick example, giantesses) yet the next day I could be repulsed. It's very strange.

I guess this may be do to how some of the more stranger ones may be considered taboo, now I'm not into anything THAT crazy, but some strange ones are in there. And then when I understand what I am actually looking at through "normal" eyes, I hate it. I actually have been having fun studying how some people might get certain attractions.

Could be that as well as an interesting genetic thing. The human body is programmed to look for genetically diverse mating partners.
Probably why I have a thing for blondes and red heads, but tend to be rather neutral towards brunettes. It's related to how nice you find someone's smell. If you find their own body smell (I'm not talking about terribly sweaty here) then your body has analysed that they're genetically diverse from you and you will produce strong offspring.

-Jim's genes make him good at fighting off infections.
-Sarah's genes give her an edge against fighting viruses.

Ergo, their offspring will be good at fighting off both!
Doesn't always happen, mind you, but it's something I found very interesting.
My last girlfriend has (lovely) blue eyes; I have green/hazel eyes, continental European skin tone (ie not pasty pale Irish like me!- she actually tans) and light brown hair where I'm raven headed. She cheats a little by having blonde highlights, but hopefully you see what I mean?

I'm not an expert and I'm only speaking in generalities, but to my knowledge I'm correct on the basics.

Being Irish (as in, living on the island of Ireland) also means thanks to a narrow gene pool, we've got the highest instance of cystic fibrosis in Europe.... which I hope will be lessened somewhat by the immigration from other Europeans coming here.

2: Depends on the fetish. I'm sure the cartoons I've watched as a child have influenced me towards my anthromorphic and animated desires(Can also look a bit at my love for stuffed animals there). Growing up in a house where I'm the lowest ranking member of the house might be a big contributing feature in my domination fetish. My many years under the heel of a low self-esteem has also contributed to that and related fetishes such as bondage, humiliation, voyeur and desperation. So mostly I look at it as bi-products of growth and experience. What I do just now might turn into a sexual desire in 10 years.

Some magazines do. Like O Magazine and Good Housekeeping, maybe. Unfortunately, said magazines rarely feature the kinds of women I find attractive, so I've got to look for my fetish fuel elsewhere.
