My name is Lee, and since you can't really shorten that, people call me Leeroy... but everyone has different reasons for calling me that. People at work call me that after Leeroy Brown (badest man in the whole damn town), others call me that because they think that's my real name (apparently Lee can't be my whole name, for some reason), and my sister started calling me that after I showed her Leeroy Jenkins.

Also, people call me Bobo, of Yogi Bear fame. They say I act like him. (not sure how to take that one)

Turbo, V, X, and J.

My friends often call me "Wheezie," thanks to this soft wheeze I have sometimes (yay, being premature). And they sometimes call me "Chance" or "Chancie" because of the name of a character I often write about.

I'm called "Bongo" by some of my friends, though I generally respond to anything really.

People used to call me Goliath, since they thought it was Ironic that I'm 6'5" and named 'David' but that got old around High School, since then didn't really have a nickname. In college, met a girl who thought my name was Michael and called me Misha as a pet name for that, and still called me that even when she learned my real name.

Don't mind not having a nickname, though. There are people that try to give themselves nicknames, too... and that never works. ever.

well, most people just call me "hill" because that's my last name. Sometimes hillbo baggins, hillary, hilliam, or, if i'm at home, the lawn gnome.

My nickname is Jelly;
I used to be fat in the early part of my life, and i was nicknamed 'jelly belly'
Then in high school, it got shortened to Jelly beacuse I'm apparently not worth four syllables, and then around the time i turned 15, i lost a ton of weight and the nickname stayed.

I'm so used to all my mates calling me Jelly that these days i introduce myself as either Josh or Jelly or let them pick. Some people like it cause it's easier to remember, some people just give me a weird look.

My name's Perry, but my parents will occasionally address me as "Wink." I've had that nickname for so long I can't remember where it comes from. Same with my brother; his name's Clay, but they sometimes call him "Beavo." Also, in high school, black people and others who hated me would address me as "P-dub," which I hated since it is formed from the slang of those damned barbaric gangsters. Incidentally, I new three guys in high school who thought they were too cool to use their given names. There were "Arnack," "Thalor," and "Armant." Oh, and there was a girl in Anime Club whose name was Michael, but she hated that name, so we all called her "Ammy" after the sun goddess Amaterasu, from the game Okami. Man, she was obsessed with that game.

Cheery Lunatic said:
I have 15 million nicknames.

I get called Martini, Sauce, and Rina most commonly though.
The first two are plays on my name (Marina Martins = Marinara Martini)
LMAO. Um, I used to get Martini or Marinara a lot because of my last name (Mariani somehow turns into Martini?)

Right now, my most common nicknames are Su-Su or Pocahontas. My roommate calls me Su-Su, short somehow for Summer.

My coworkers call me Pocahontas because I walk everywhere. The joke is that I walk three miles uphill each way to work, with a baby on my back... and I'm missing a kidney because I lost it in a plane crash while flying to minister to deaf, blind and dumb leopards in Africa.

A few people call me "Edwardo the Awkward Elephant" (my name's Edward) but almost everyone calls me Eddie. It even appears on some school reports, etc.
Hardly anyone calls me Edward.
