Well I often fall awake, which is a horrible feeling.
However, no particular dream I've repeated a lot other that I remember.

Well now I think about it, I haven't dream of being back in High School and hanging out with my mates (who I really despise these days) from there since ages.

Not really a recurring dream but action, whenever I'm moving around in a dream I'm doing trick moves. So if I'm walking I'll be doing flips and shit, bike/motorcycle again flips and shit, by car riding over ramps doing...you guessed it flips and air barrel rolls.

They're really random. But they're never the same. Although a a couple months ago I saw a few dreams where I was on the front seat, but not flying, of helicopters and other small aircraft. The views were amazing. I had goosebumps waking up. And when I was quite young I saw a dream where I was making out with a girl in a clothes store and the next night I saw a long part of it, but from the perspective of a security camera.

And I never see nightmares, which some people think is strange. But the nightmares for me have been the dreams where I've solved some really bothering problems, and waking up I'm on top of the world for the following 5 seconds, while I realize it was a dream after all, and those can be slightly devastating and certainly give a kind of a depressing feeling for the next few hours at least.

I remember having not a recurring dream, but a dream with a sequel dream that picked up where the first one left off. It was pretty cool, but I don't remember what the dream was about :(

Between the ages of 5 and 7 I had a recurring nightmare that involved the same monsters but different locations. They all involved what I ended up calling, the Hammerhead Shark Burglars. They were basically completely black hammerhead sharks that wore black trench coats and had a human's arms and legs. Another thing that happens in all of the dreams is that I always had a giant shiver run down my spine as I woke up when I was about to die in the dream.

The 1st dream:
I am sitting in some random high up spot in my house that doesn't exist in real life. I am watching my family eat dinner. I fall and land in front of my closet door. The door opens and a Hammerhead Shark Burglar is standing there. It lunges at me and I wake up.

The 2nd dream:
My family and I are going out to walk the dog. We are leaving through the garage side door. I trip but my family doesn't notice. They walk out the door and it shuts. Everything goes completely pitch black. Then a light turns on and the garage is now filled with Hammerhead Shark Burglars. They lunge at me and I wake up.

The 3rd dream:
It is Christmas and I am running downstairs to see my presents. I walk into the living room and see a Hammerhead Shark Burglar clinging to the Christmas tree. It lunges at me and I wake up.

The 4th dream:
I am playing hide and seek at my babysitter's house. I hide under the kitchen table. While under the table I look up. I see a Hammerhead Shark Burglar clinging to the bottom side of the table directly above me. It lunges at me and I wake up.

The 5th dream:
My brother and I are walking downstairs into the basement. When we get downstairs, we see a door that we never noticed before. We open the door and find a very steep staircase. We climb the staircase and get to the very top only to find another door. The door opens and an old man is their. He simply tells us to watch our step on the way down. We go back down the steep staircase. When we get to the bottom, we hear the sound of a door bell, then a click click of a shotgun, finally followed by the howling of a wolf. This all seems to come from the furnace room. My brother and I immediately run upstairs. He is ahead of me and I trip on the way up. I look back and see two Hammerhead Shark Burglars at the foot of the stairs. They lunge at me and I wake up.

These are some of my earliest and most terrifying memories. They are responsible for making me terrified of my closet, garage, and basement until I was 7 and we moved. Never had one of those dreams again after we moved.

Dreaming group plug! [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/The-Escapist-Dreamer-Society]

The most reoccurring dream I have is that of climbing stairs like this:

Except the railing is missing, something (sometimes its a monster or thugs with guns or an 'unknown force') is forcing me to climb up higher and the higher you go, the narrower the stairs become. I always fall.

It's a nightmare that occasionally haunts me although I haven't had it for awhile now.

I used to have variations on the same dream in which a hairless gorilla would attack me at some point in the dream and tear me to pieces. I eventually broke the cycle when I got into the habit of lucid dreaming, then willingly changed events so that my cat leapt out and beat the shit out of the gorilla when he emerged.

Lots, but the strangest one is where all the people I know start dying whenever they pick up a phone. I used to have it about once a week when I was 16/17, but now it's only occasionally. I die by bumping into someone who's walking out of a carphone warehouse and accidentally catching their mobile phone as it falls. It's also the only dream I've had where I die and that doesn't end the dream - it carries on with me watching it from above until usually only my sister or brother is still alive. Very very odd. To this day I find mobile phone shops incredibly unnerving...

I have something that comes up really often in my dreams, I always seem to either not have my left eye already, rip it off myself during the dream or have someone rip it off during the dream, also whenever I try to imagine myself on the future I seem to be wearing an eyepatch, I have no idea what's wrong with me, but apparently I hate my left eye.

Well, a while back, I saw a young boy get killed. Lately, I keep dreaming that I'm in a forest, and this boy's in the forest with me. I want to protect him, but he keeps running away, and for some reason I can only run in slow-motion. Throughout the dreams, I'll hear whispers, and the voices sound like friends of mine who have died. When I finally catch up to the kid, he spontaneously combusts, and I wake up.

OT: Several of my dreams have something to do with gunfighting, but very rarely do the details line up enough to consider any of them "recurring."

Nuclear war. I watch the whole thing unfold around me. Once a month every month since I was 9 years old. 37 now. Feels like it's really happening every single time.

I had the same dream about once a week when I was about 7-13. I was in a pet shop when all the cages opened and the animals would come out and bite, scratch and eat me, slowly killing me.

That sounds a lot like the dreams in mass effect 3.

I often dream of finally getting something I really want (it's something different every time). And every time, just before getting it, I think to myself "I can't believe it! Finally! Is this really happening?" And than I wake up because I just made my brain realize it's dreaming.

Bears. Always bears, ever since I was real little. Scary bears, and I'm not even afraid of bears (I think)But there has been alot of dreams about running away/hiding from bears, and other creatures (alligators... one time a dinosaur)
I wonder if I'm secretly scared of that stuff? o_O So secretly I don't even know myself.
So, not the same dream, just the same theme.
