I often have dreams that look like me being in survival horror games. Wierd part is that I'm easily scared by actual game while I can't get enough of these dreams and they tend to be much more creative, horrifying and exciting than games.

I have a recurring dream of my teeth falling out, bothers the hell out of me
Oh my god, so do I.
Well, not exactly falling out. My dream is my jaw tightens and tightens and everytime I try to open my mouth it gets tighter until my teeth shatter.

So, it's more of a nightmare than a dream. I hate it.

I've had a couple of weird recurring dreams. This past Thursday night I kept dreaming about a little bird on a tree flying up into a clouded sky, then the clouds got darker, lightning started to form and then I followed the bolt straight down to the ground where it hit next to a long haired, red-headed woman. The dream itself lasted for what seemed to be all of 18 seconds. I had that same dream SIX. FREAKING. TIMES. IN A ROW. Couldn't get to sleep afterwords.

Also, about...eh, ten years ago or somewhere around that time frame, I dreamt that I floated above my bed, gently floated over my stereo system...and then promptly crashed into it. Had that happen a few times in a row, too.

Sad that recurring dreams can never be awesome ones or have awesome music to it, like-'em-so:

I had the same dream about once a week when I was about 7-13. I was in a pet shop when all the cages opened and the animals would come out and bite, scratch and eat me, slowly killing me.

Well, a while back, I saw a young boy get killed. Lately, I keep dreaming that I'm in a forest, and this boy's in the forest with me. I want to protect him, but he keeps running away, and for some reason I can only run in slow-motion. Throughout the dreams, I'll hear whispers, and the voices sound like friends of mine who have died. When I finally catch up to the kid, he spontaneously combusts, and I wake up."
That sounds a lot like the dreams in mass effect 3.
It is, I was just seeing if anyone would notice.

One of the most pants wettingly terrifying dreams that I have ever had happened to be the only recurring dream that I can remember.

I'm watching a movie. Suddenly, the movie switches to a terrifying one. I try and look away, it doesn't work. I try and put my hands over my eyes but my hands have gone see through. These dreams were awful.

When I was a kid, before I had my license, I used to have nightmares where all of a sudden I was in control of the family car and I had no idea how to use it. After learning how to drive I no longer have that dream. Then there are the dreams where I am spider-man, those dreams are awesome, although sometimes it is hard to shoot webs.

Do you also have it that you try to scream but are simply unable to? You open your mouth and nothing comes out?

When I was about 4, I had this recurring dream in which I would see a ghost climb up the stairs and enter my room. If you are at all scared of ghosts than to you, this would be terrifying. It happened I think about 5 times. I guess that sometimes the simplest dreams are the scariest.

I remember how I stopped the dream too.

Having the mind of a four year old I decided that I would just tell the ghost that "It wasn't Halloween and the ghost should leave."

That night I had the dream again and I said the line. The ghost left and thus I had my first lucid dream. I never had the dream again.

I guess I was a pretty stupid four year old. Sometimes the dumbest solution works I guess.

I have one that involves spiders and they are typically bigger than they should be.

I haven't had it in a while and, frankly, I'm quite happy with that arrangement.

I used to have one that was all startrek inspired where I had to be outside the ship for something and stuff went wrong. I remember it as really really odd because I still haven't watched much startrek and hadn't seen almost any at that point.

I have a few:

- Being stuck in the hospital I was forcefully admitted into (haven't had this one in a while. Was especially screwy when I was having it while still in the hospital)
- Being screamed at by my family
- Being chased by my father
- Falling

I have a dream i refer to as "the portals dream" that involves doors not leading to the place they should lead. For instance you walk into you room and wind up in the grocery store then you buy what you wanted and walk out in to a war zone.

It has even make me develop a habit of holding on to door knobs a second after i close the door if I am tired because if you let go and let the door fade from you view it may just go the fuck away landing you in a shitty dessert with no doors, but as long as you have the knob the door will always be there yet it will never return you to the place you came from.

I also have many recurring charters in dreams. A ethereal constantly morphing creature named Aris that slowly comes from absolute frailty to god like power, A small young girl with jet black hair and stunning blue eyes named Alice that wields a massive chain gun that if you stood on end is at lest foot taller than her, her dog with a random name that is always the same jet black color and hays the same color eyes only they are solid blue it is always a Scottish terrier but can transform into a massive wolf or lycan, and the evil "god of worms" who is sort of one of those worms from "Dune" only smaller an with eyes and legs.

I believe so, but I tend to forget about most of my dreams.

A lot of my dreams take place in high school, probably because I dropped out of high school, which I sorta regret.

That happens to me a lot. Sometimes it's with a video game, or the movie or show will suddenly go dark and violent.

I find violence in dreams to be much more terrifying then in real life.

I dream of stalking through my home town with a high powered rifle in my hands, unloading hollow-pointed death at everyone in my life who has ever wronged me. But then again I play FPS games, so that's to be expected... /sarcasm

I do actually have a proper one about being chased and attacked by a pack of wild dogs - I always wake up just as I feel jaws close around my neck. Fuck knows what that's about. Bloody dreams and their obscure symbolism.

Me training in a temple under the guidance of a big samoan guy in a vibrant blue robe, who in every other temple dream is a statue.
That's it. I have my temple dream every night if I don't have a nightmare...
