"I'm on my Way" - The Proclaimers. It's the only song that has caused me to smile when I listen to it. It's such an uplifting song

Close to the Edge by Yes

The ending of it, is just this overwhelming wave of happiness. It's so unbelieveable.

I swear to god I'm almost brought to tears everytime I listen to it

BOC, albums spectres and agents of fortune.
Also wasted years by Iron maiden. Hurricane by Bob Dylan.

Or some power metal by Children of Bodom, because there is no depressing sounds in that band.
Nitpicking here. CoB isn't power metal.
Well its Power Metal with many extreme influences, they are often labeled as Melodic Death Metal, but thats incorrect, and this subgenre is often mislabled due to many of the bands switching to Alternative Metal.

But COB is Extreme Power Metal.
Blah blah blah. Do we really need to pigeonhole everything? CoB are metal and that's good enough.

OT: "Hooker with a Penis" by Tool or "Bob's Party Time Lounge" by Primus. Or "Cliffs of Dover" by Eric Johnson. That song rules.

The Pretender by The Foo Fighters.
Throw Rob Zombie, Dragula, into this playlist.
That's such a great song... it's so... stompy.

'I'm Still Standing' by Elton John always cheers me up.

As does 'Detox' by Strapping Young lad.
Went and checked out Detox now, found it hilarious you put that next to Elton John. Is the song released on an album? Might not have to pirate it. I'm joking, or am I?
Haha yeah my music taste is a bit scatty...

But yes, Detox is on SYL's second album, the uttery ingenious masterpiece called 'City'

Also... nerd trivia for you:

There are lyrics from Detox on a terminal in the presidential metro in Fallout 3: Broken Steel, and the engineer's name is D. Townsend... the lead singer's name. Awesome!
