I don't like mixing different foods.
I keep the potatoes separate from the fish, separate from the sauce, separate from the salad.
Then I'll eat some potato, then maybe take a break from the potatoes to eat some fish, then some more potato.

My parents keep mixing stuff and eating it like that.
My name is Rustless Potato, you ate my father, prepare to die !

O.T I can't really recall things that might be strange because they're pretty normal to me :/.
My sister though, when she eats, it sounds like a velociraptor !. I'm not even sure how she does it, but when she comes to visit I know I have to soundproof my appartment as to not annoy my neighbours.

I guess I eat more quickly than most, but I can't really come up with any strange habits when I eat. I used to have a ton and probably what you could refer to as slight OCD. I grew out of all that. Well, I still have the tendencies I'm just too lazy to go through with them.

Food that you would generally eat with your hands, such as pizza or corn chips I use cutlery to eat, I like having clean hands :D

Sometimes when I eat McDonald food before I devour my double hamburgers I will place fries all along the hamburger patty inside the burger to give it a more crunchy feel to it.

I swallow a lot of my food whole so I usually cut it up into small pieces. Growing up, I used to be a super picky eater, so that way got me to expand the foods I eat. I do chew some foods like meat and anything where the texture doesn't change (ie get really soggy), but I don't chew nearly close to the amount recommended.

I often pick apart everything I eat, so I look a little strange when I eat hamburgers, sandwiches, and the like. I almost always tear them off into pieces rather than bite into them without doing anything.

It's kind of a habit that developed out of necessity due to something I was born with.

Whenever I eat a slice of pizza I eat the cheese and toppings first and then I will eat the pizza backwards.

Whenever I eat a chicken wrap, I always cut it open and eat the chicken first, then eat the wrap afterwards.

When eating a roast dinner, I always always eat the meat first, followed by various veg, followed by roast potatoes. No idea why, I just always have.

Also, I disassemble Jaffa's as someone mentioned above. Cos everyone knows the smashing orangey bit is the best part. Why contaminate it with chocolate and sponge? Though I know why I started doing this. My stepmum is a coeliac (alergic to wheat and gluten) so she can't eat the sponge and has always takes her jaffa's apart and gives my dad the sponge :)

Also when I was a baby, my parents tell me that they used to give me a bowl of peas, and I'd sit there, eating one at a time, not grabbing a handful or anything, just picking up one at a time (don't do this any more obviously, lol).
My 2 year old daughter does this at the moment, she uses cutlery for almost everything but peas are one at a time using fingers.

I have the fork in my right hand with the knife in the left, I've always laid the table this way so everyone else has to swap their's over. I still insist my way is better as I'm right handed and the fork is the most used item.

Only that I don't eat much at all.

It's weird, I'm six foot tall and weigh nearly a 100kg (that's about 220 pounds for you yanks) and I hardly eat anything.
Yeah, me too. What's up wit that?

I don't think I have any strange eating habits. I don't have any special order of eating things because my meals rarely consist of that many components, and I can't remember the last time I ate something that could be taken apart. The strangest thing is probably that I feel extremely uncomfortable sitting at a table. I eat in my room, huddled up with my plate on my knees, or otherwise balancing it with one hand and eating with the other.

I eat the thing I like least on the plate first, all the way through to my favorite. A bit of the habit my dad had as a kid - things can't be touching each other. I don't mind it too much, but avoid touching if I can.
I do this too in a way. I make sure that my favorite thing on the plate is the last thing I finish. Other than that, I eat fries with mayo which is apparently something most Americans don't do. Screw ketchup.

Also any biscuit/cake with a filling. (Eg. Jaffa Cakes, Oreos). I always eat all of the outside first, and just leave the fillings on a plate until the end. :D
I am same with Oreo's, except I don't like the filling :/ I normally throw it in the bin... Jaffa cakes are fantastic though, mmm... I think I need to go and get some of those now!

OP: I like keeping my food separate, like quite a few have said here, and I eat the least tasty first. I don't like my salad on top of my hot food and it must be eaten first...

PS. I hate the new captcha

*If I'm eating mixed vegetables, I always eat them in the order of least to most favourite, always ending with peas.

*Also, if I'm eating a good bread with a crispy crust, I always save the crust for last.

*Even as a kid, I loved broccoli and brussels sprouts.

*Didn't like chocolate until I was 4 years old. Still isn't that big a fan of sweet things.

I can't eat mashed things, the texture makes me feel like I'm eating vomit. Mashed potato for example, it makes my stomach turn just thinking about it.
I once vomited 30 minutes after eating mashed potatoes, so I can sympathise. The taste of mashed potatoes as they pass the wrong way through your gullet is enough to put you off them for life.
