Do you keep your ketchup in the fridge?

It's an odd thought I had recently. Many of my friends keep their ketchup in the fridge and I can't understand why. The cold contrast between the food and the ketchup tastes weird. I like it to be a additive, not a damn game changer.

This is with Heinz tomato sauce. Thoughts?

I keep it in the fridge, because it tells you to on the bottle. I follow instructions.

Edit: Seriously, I just checked, it tells you to refrigerate after opening.

I don't eat ketchup. But I hate it when my Garlic Chili sauce gets refrigerated.

Its just so... odd tasting after refrigeration.

Yes, but it's because I use it so infrequently. My sriracha sits out at room temperature - it burns so good.

My bottle tends to have "REFRIGERATE AFTER OPENING" printed on the label. It's not restaurant ketchup, which I assume has a different formula, so I follow the prescribed directions.

Yeah, considering the bottle says to put it in the fridge after opening, I do. Plus the cold doesn't bother me, in fact it's almost weird when I have room temperature ketchup.

I always keep it in the fridge, I love nuking my hotdogs til they're to hot to eat and smothering them in cool ketchup so you don't burn your tongue. That can be applied to any hot food.

As a few people have pointed out, the bottle tells you to keep it in the fridge. So I do. I can take it out before I eat to warm it up a bit, if I happen to care.

I care very little, If I took it from the fridge I'd put it back there, If from a cupboard I'd put it there.

i do, i rly like fresh hot french fries with cold ketchup, only prob is my family doesnt like to keep it in there, so i have to put it away myself.
