It really depends on the situation. If I say that I will be somewhere I am there.If I say that I promise not to be mad well thats most likely a lie I'll try my hardiest not to but I still will be.

i think breaking a promise is a horrible thing, i make promises all the time and go through with them, i never make a promise i cant keep so when someone asks me to do something i may not be able to i say "i wont make any promises"

Usually when i promise something i usually leave a loophole in it just in case i don't feel like keeping my promise.

I make no promises, I give assurance that I will try to complete the task that is requested of me.

I can grant a request if I'm asked to do something simple i.e give this message to that person, purchase something from a nearby bakery with money entrusted to me.

As a habit, I don't promise anything unless it's something I'll already do. In the end, I keep them, but is this cheating to only make cheap promises?
