Do you know your choice genre?

i'd have to say Adventure/RPG, as i've been a huge fan of the old Zelda games and the like of it, and i absolutely loved Elder Scrolls III/IV: Morrowind/Oblivion, though Morrowind was a better game imo.

I just really love a good expansive rpg. I don't find any other genre quite as entertaining really. I can enjoy other genres such as a good fps, but I feel there's nothing like the feeling of adventure and immersion you get in a quality rpg.

RPGs of all kinds (except MMO, they bore me quickly). I don't know, something about development and what can sometimes be a great story behind it. I do enjoy my adventure games (I'm looking at you Zelda) and sometimes an FPS, but I'm an RPG player at heart.

My favourites are RTS, and Turn-Based strategy (is it TBS? Nevermind). To my mind Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is the greatest game ever made. Nice blend of turn-based combat, and RPG-elements. Number 5 almost took the crown with the added complexity of the RPG portion, but you just can't beat that special something about HoMM 3.

And of course, the RTS's... ah... the titans of old, Dune, Total Annihilation, Red Alert... Magnifique.

As a side-note: You've got to love the old LucasArt's adventure games as well.
