I almost never lie, and try to be as honest as possible at all times. However, I'm also a very good liar.

I am a TERRIBLE liar so I don't do it. Plus it ALWAYS comes back to bite you in the ass and the consequences of that are always much worse than if you'd just told the truth.
At most I'm probably economical with the truth, not a lie as such, just I don't reveal all the facts!

I don't lie to people I know, 'cause I'm a crap liar. However, if it's someone I know I'll never meet again, I go wild. "Hey, is that your baby?" "Yes." "What does your dad do?" "He's a paratrooper." I noticed how easy it was and just got kinda carried away with it.

I lie constantly. In every situation and conversation I am always looking for something to say that will benefit me the most and it is, more often then not, a lie.
How good am I? Pretty damn good when I need to be. If it was something silly like "I didn't eat those cookies on the shelf" then I'm not very convincing, but when it's something important like "No, I didn't sell your newborn baby to the Chinese couple down the street" then I can be VERY convincing.

Sometimes a little white lie like "Yes, you do look good in that outfit and your butt certainly does not look big in those pants." are necessary.
Otherwise I try my best to be honest. Mainly because I'm a terrible liar, I go red in the face if I'm lying so it's very easy to call me out on it. It's probably a good thing though, keeps me honest.

I really prefer to tell the truth. I find it to pay off in the long run.
My primary example of this...
Giving an honest reason about why you don't want to go to a social event. -- if you are giving half ass excuses, nobody is going to buy it. Even if they say they believe you, when you aren't around, they'll just cut you down behind your back.
It might be hard to look someone in the eye and just say "No, I don't want to see that movie. I'd rather sit at my desk and play video games"
Believe me, though, it pays off. Later on, when you do say you want to hang out, they appreciate it a lot more.
One other thing: if you are in a serious relationship with someone, honest communication is worth its weight in gold. That means more than just answering questions honestly, it also means openly speaking your mind in a tactful manner.

I am a terrible liar and when I lie I am rarely believed. Zero p-p-poker face. Primarily for this reason, I do not lie anymore. However, that doesn't mean I don't get into trouble anymore, because now I'm honest to a fault. Believe me when I tell you that no one likes a liar, but everyone hates people who tell the truth, despite what they tell you otherwise.
Sometimes I feel guilty about it, and feel compelled to tell the truth, but I do, unfortunately, lie a lot. Not about serious things, but just minor stuff. Sad to say, I've become very good at it.
Hiding things and manipulation are two other things I'm reasonably good at, although I avoid them most of the time. Lying is one thing, but I feel uncomfortable manipulating someone into believing something.
