I'm about 6'1, and I'd loooooove to be taller. Mostly because I'm a volleyball player, so the extra height would be nice XD
Back when I was on my team, we went up against a team with a 7'something hitter, and blocking that guy was one of the best feelings ever XD
I occasionally run into taller people, and 99% of the time, they are treated like everyone else.
That is, ignored completely.
An exception is if they're a foot or more taller than I am XD
Then there's a moment of "oh holy shit what the fuck jesus dude" followed by the usual ignoring.

I'm rather medium sized human being, but recently i visited some Asian country. Irrelevant which. Point is : being bigger than most of people was rather unpleasant experience for me. :|

As an average height bloke (5'9" bitches!) I can safely say that height isnt the most intimadting thing for me, its size. You may be tall, but if your built like a twig, you arent scary. If you are short and built like a shit brick outhouse, i really will try to not bother you haha.

also, my friend apparently likes taller men because they are easier to find in a crowd. This is the girl who, when drunk, will cling to the nearest person she knows and not let go so she doesnt fall over. Annoying when you are trying to chat up a different girl at the time

A bit over 6'6", and all in proportion so I don't have to deal with lankiness; I'm just built to manhandle tigers. My leverage is poor, so my body has to pack on muscle like a fiend to compensate, and bodyfat gets carried really well so even back when I was morbidly unhealthy, I never looked outright physically incapable (and it's gotten exponentially better, since). Fitness is a breeze since I burn more calories just by walking than most do at a slow jog, and my heightened basal metabolic rate gives me 500 extra calories to play with when I'm being nutrition-conscious. Towering over everyone I know gives me a ridiculous amount of presence in social situations, whether I want it or not, which compounds my charisma when I feel like exercising it. Chicks dig the fuck out of it.

Only drawbacks are those situations when you have to ride in back of someone's Civic, other males feeling overtly threatened by my presence (I was born tall so I had to think for a solid minute about what I was doing wrong when some dudes bristled during eye contact; now that I know, loldealwithit), and some women being clearly frightened of me, the last of which is a ginormous pain in the ass because that means it's my responsibility to be unnaturally friendly and put out as many harmless vibes as I can before her discomfort affects everyone in the room. It's hard to ignore people, too, since they tend to take it personally when the person that eats up their peripheral vision isn't particularly interested in them.

On the whole, fucking love it, man. It feels like winning the genetic lottery since I rolled pretty well on every other physical variable, as well. My only regret is not playing contact sports back in highschool where I could've made a name for myself and exorcised that teen angst early by steamrolling my fellow man.

Conversely when I was in the Netherlands I was on the shorter side of life. I even had a number of female friends who towered over me, this was not something I was used to. The Dutch (and the Germans for that matter), seem to be giants dwarfing puny Brits like myself.

Yes... I'm half dutch, and I have to say I feel a lot less freakish walking around there than I did in Australia.

England seems to be somewhere inbetween. But it was only after getting back to Europe that it hit me...
