Anthropology shows that once a civilization collapses, paper currency and such tend to lose value and undesirable. Instead precious stones and minerals, such as gold, have more value. So in case you find yourself roaming around the wastelands of what was once a great empire, see if you can find a few shiny things. Anyway, I was waiting around at school earlier, and just randomly thought of the act of pollution and didn't want to put up with /b/ so I decided to ask you guys. So, do you hold your garbage or see it fit to just throw it on the ground?

If you're wondering about me, I do sometimes just dispose of trash on the ground, and usually feel zero guilt about doing it when I do, does that make me a bit of a dick? Just wondering. Also yea, I did post this to get a bump.

You rang, captcha?

Anyway, if I'm in my bedroom I'll just aim at the bin and throw, and if I miss, I'll pick it up later. Everywhere else though I put my rubbish in the bin.

Throw it in the bin.

How hard is it, seriously?

Sometimes I work in a shop with a seating area and I've had people throw their rubbish on the ground and stamp food into the floor. There's bins provided for your rubbish but people are either too lazy, stupid or think they're above cleaning up after themselves.

Maybe I should go to their house and make a mess...

I throw it in a trash can. It's really easy.

If I'm out on a picnic, I might toss something into the bush but it is always biodegradable.

I used to chuck stuff out of my car window, but I quit when I started running outside a bunch.

And people absolutely disgust me, I work at a pool that often has large swim meets, and every time without fail people always trash the seating areas and pool decks

I always toss my garbage out unless it is something like say a apple core that will break down or a squirrel will eat (there are squirrel's everywhere where I live).

Unless it's a food item (i.e. apple core) I'll make sure it goes in a trash can. I figure I'll make it a bit easier for woodland creatures to eat my leftovers, though.

Never, ever ever ever do I litter. And I'm not really counting food bits that decompose (as Jedoro said). I really hate seeing people litter; to me it's just a despicable and douchy thing to do. It's more of a pet peeve than anything. I just hate it.

I once threw an apple core into this long-ish grass when walking to the shops and got yelled at by an old lady for littering. Then a magpie swooped down, grabbed it and flew off. I felt more guilty about not leaving the magpie more apple than being yelled at by an old lady. I'd never drop something other than an applecore or banana skin. I am REALLY militant about recycling, my flat mate is the worst culprit for mixing brown and green glass! RAAAGEEEEE!

Does anyone else think that spitting is just as bad as littering and also way more disgusting?
