Do you "own" your username?

My username gets slightly less hits than my real name, but where's the fun in people being able to find you all the time.

And I have at least 3 other names I use in different places

If anyone else is using my username, I would seriously like to meet them and find out what the hell is wrong with them.

I thought of making a WoW character with this name but I realized I'd never play anything but solo because the party leader would be like "/invite msher--[backspacing] mscher--[backspacing] msherch-- screw this! /invite Stealthystud."

Aww, it's not that hard to spell. On the other hand, it is a ***** to pronounce.

But I'd love to know: what on earth is the story behind your name?

Only 1 of the top results is from someone besides me. I have never had to compete with someone for this name with the exception of X-box live. Which really pissed me off.

Not entirely. when I run a search on "Andantilus" I get a couple accounts that aren't mine. However, sometimes I shorten my name to "Andantil" and when I search that, I don't get anybody but me.

Embarassing as it is, I first made the name for RP purposes, the whole name is Wrethan Andantilus.

Unfortunately as "Quoth" most of my hits are to do with the poem "The Raven" which is much as I expect. Although this is my favourite poem my user name actually came when I was reading a Terry Pratchett book who named the travelling raven, accompanying Death, "Quoth" obviously a direct nod to the poem.
