Sketchy is entirely unoriginal, and Sketchkov (what I go by nowadays) is mostly mispellings of Stetchkov (SWAT 4 expansion, and where I got my name from).

I'm in the top 10 though, twice.

It's all me, baby.
Didn't know that my Escapist profile made a search for my username give a hell of a lot more results, though.
At least 50+ since it finds its way into all Themis Group, Inc's sites.

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation with "Nomad". It doesn't matter if I find a way to cure cancer using my screenname, the camel-riders will still beat me.

When Nomad is taken, though, I tend to use "Nomadic" or "NomadicStorm". And NomadicStorm seems to be mostly me.

Nah, "nemu" is too common a slang to claim.

But I am, for the most part, the only one using a variation of it on the forums that I frequent (IE: WoW, WAR, CoH/V, some music forums, et al).

Wow... I had no idea... I mean, I expected other people to use this name (it's a name anybody can come up with), but one guy on gpoker forums is actually using the same friggin' avatar that I use for a lot of other forums I visit. That's a bit creepy...

yes, I have 5 pages of google dedicated to just me ^_^
I made my name up on the spot, as it is odd it is very hard for others to think of it.

I've had this name for 6 years. Google only shows me, except for one anomaly: 3 boring songs on an album called "Tumbukturnips" by a guy called Mike Stepanovic.

And for those of you who're buried in obscurity, do you wish you'd been as smart as Randall Munroe and picked something as unique as "xkcd" when you made up your name at age 12?
XKCD = 42 = the meaning of life
Wow. I just added it up. That wily bastard, he said it was a random string of characters. But really, should I be surprised that Mr. Alt-Text hid a goodie/nerd reference?

Yeap.....well other than dictionarys and that one twitter page which is obviosuly been taken over by a bot or something.
also if you put my real full name in, all hits are 100% mine. Also the same with my other alias
Well then, that's just a reminder to name your kid something unique and searchable. As a testament to my unhealthy symbiosis with technology, I've actually given this some thought. Wouldn't it give your kid a potential leg up in the world to always be the first search result for his name? Just gotta rack your brains for an unusual name/spelling that won't make elementary school suck.

Aww, it's not that hard to spell. On the other hand, it is a ***** to pronounce.

But I'd love to know: what on earth is the story behind your name?
It's not that exotic, really. I used to RP a Franco-Russian character, Marie Shcherbatskaya. First initial, last name - mshcherbatskaya. The surname is from Anna Karenina, in which there was a family of wealthy art enthusiasts, the Shcherbatskys. Shcherbatskaya is the feminine version of the name.
