Do you panic or get scared when you're the last man standing?

Depends. If it's a serious match, and we're really trying hard to win, yeah maybe a bit,but I try and keep my cool. If it's just for fun, I don't really care, just do what I can. Sometimes I play and talk on the phone at the same time with my headset off, and I actually do really well. Like, I can wipe out the entire team. It's pretty awesome.

I get panicked in normal game situations, once in Halo 3, my two team-mates on LIVE re-spawned from above me and landed in front of me, and I freaked out and killed them, in survival games, I get worse

sometimes, yes, but not in games like, say, L4D, as I know I can hold on my own long enough to my allies to respawn
it's on competitive games such as Counter Strike that I get all tense and shit
let alone when I'm the flag carrier in Tribes Ascend or TF2 XD

"Arrgh, this is gonna suuuuuuck!" Not that I can't win solo, but I get paranoid without someone backing me up. I can't even play S&D on CoD because of that.

In video games, I don't really worry about it.

If I'm playing paintball, I think oh shit, this is going to hurt.
I know, right? Fortunately I wear a ghillie suit, so i can play Viet Cong with them >:)

the only time I crapped myself while being the last man standing was in aliens versus predator infection game mode, I was being chased about about 12 aliens through the pyramid level and I survived, the most terrifying experience I ever had in a multiplayer game.

Not at all.

I usually get an extra boost of focus and sometimes just excel.

In a survivor horror game, I start to panic when I come across and enemy which is immune to everything that I have and I either start to run out of ammo/weapons or run out of places to run. Then, I come to realize that I need to get away from the enemy and defeate/avoid it until later on in the game.

In multiplayer, if I am "the last man standing," I don't tend to panic, but instead, go on the offensive. I don't go running in, guns blazing, but I tend to take out as many of the enemy as I can strategically. I hear some people who would bash the last guy in the team for losing against 6 enemy units and I would remind them that if they were as good as they claimed, they themselves would be the last man standing.

The two games I've played with elimination-type game modes have been Infection in the Halo franchise and Arena in TF2. In Infection games, I just flip out and get myself killed in stupid ways. In Arena games, I'm almost never the last person alive and don't have to worry about that pressure. Then again, the times that I am the last person alive I do a lot of hit and run to try and take as many people out as possible before I go down. I rarely win rounds.

Ahhh... yeah, story time!

So it's the Battle of Waterloo 4v4 online in Napoleon TW. We're on the defensive as the Austrians, Prussians, and French charge towards us (very historically accurate and they had 2 French armies). On the ridge and on the defensive were some Spaniards, Brits, more French, and my Russians. In all with 4 players and just under 8k troops each there was about 30 000 troops on the field.

The whole battle was quite interesting with my self covering the left flank from multiple French cavalry charges and using my own cavalry to destroy a couple artillery pieces. But all in all it was mostly at a standstill with our artillery's superior range due to the ridge causing our opponents to keep their distance.

Suddenly, the entire enemy army sprints past own kill-zone horse-artillery included and begins to assault our positions with men attempting to flank us and were successful on the right. I was able to hold our left flank with some skirmishers and destroyed some cavalry units. The situation, however, was growing dire as the enemy had captured 2 of the 3 farms (in other words a fortified position at our doorstep) and destroyed the other.

At this point we all had to focus our artillery on the farms which allowed the enemies' Old Guard to advance and begin to crush our standard soldiers. This, combined with the successful outflank on the right turned the tables to their favour. The fighting continued until only one of my artillery units and one of their light cavalry units remained, about 20 men for me and 60 for them in total out of the 30 000 that we all started with.

I had my artillery target them as they charged. Things seemed to move in slow-motion as my gunners and their horses were both exhausted after the previous hour of fighting. My team mates are all criticizing me and my every move. As they moved ever closer I commanded my men to fire canister shot, which is essentially a cannon shotgun. As the cavalry begin their final charge my men just finish loading it and "BOOM!" Half the cavalry fall and the other half rout in the chaos.

Pretty epic, and lucky that the other guy was too stupid to attack my flank.

I enjoy it. I tend to get very tactile. If it's in CoD, I tend to camp a bomb. Pick of an enemy (or put them in last stand) and set up a trap for the others. I know they can see that little skull appear so they all rush for it. I prefer it because it's just me. No other fools on my team alerting the enemies and so on.

Of course I do, everyone in my team is counting on me to not fuck it up.
