Ok, my first topic,
i have this kind've habit where i feel bad when i notice my other games that i haven't played in a while gain dust so i usually just start it up again and basically just do this as a cycle of all the games i own
does anyone else do this or do your games just collect dust ?

I play all my old games, infact, I even bust out my Dreamcast and Genisis and play them. I would bust out my Atari if my TV supported the cables. It's just when I was younger I sold a lot of my games, big mistake, or they got stolen. So, my older consoles don't get their proper love, but I am re-finding all my older games again.

I always replay my old games. Especially when I get bored or sick of my new games. For some reason, though, I never get sick of Manhunt 1 & 2...

Not very often. Nowadays I barely even have time to play the new games, much less the old ones.

EDIT:
Although... I did go back and play through Castlevania III recently.

I always go back and revisit titles, but some much more than others. I'll play through games at least two or three times minimum, and upwards of twenty in extreme cases.

What do you mean by "old" games, exactly? Stuff from the NES? Super NES? Nintendo 64? PC games from three years ago? I definitely play all those classics fairly regularly, but I go back to just about everything no matter its age.

Yes.

In fact, I've recently been playing UFO: Enemy Unknown.

And it's still one of the most awesome PC games ever, a much better actual game than all of your modern Crysis bullshit.

I started a new game in Secret of Mana just last week, that is such an epic game, shame they never released SOM 2 in english, its just not the same on PC, hopefully Wii VC will release it (fingers crossed)

I dont tend to play my older games alot, just the really good ones, I while often go back to playing Pokemon Games, generally the 2nd gen Silver, Gold or Crystal.
I also play a couple of rounds of Worms World Party/Worms Armageddon every few of months

That is because Manhunt is an amazing game. What'd you get Manhunt 2 on?
All 3 systems. :D
Wow, I only got it on the Wii. Did I do the right choice? As, I thought it was a perfect game on the Wii. I want the to port Manhunt to the Wii.

When I've beaten my newer games so many times that they become sort of boring, then I dust off the old 64 and play Starfox 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye and Conkers Bad Fur Day until I get the urge to play my newer games again.

After having played all 3 versions, I'd have to say my favorite is the Wii version. It has exclusive weapons, interactive executions, and is, unfortunately, also the most heavily censored version. I would LOVE Manhunt 1 on the Wii, and conversely, I'm hoping for Manhunt 2, the AO version on PC someday.

We're all waiting for Manhunt 2 AO. I just wished ESRB would've let the AO version go. I want to see what happens after the he kills Leo.

Yes.
There are several old games I own that I replay every 1-2 years or more often. Just now I have Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars on my desk. Last summer I played through Red Alert once more.

But unfortunatly many games have no replay value, especialy newer games it seems ... I dunno, maybe I just getting old.

I only really feel an urge to play my stack of old games after I don't have them anymore. As a child with no allowance I used to have to trade in all my games to buy new ones, which was not pleasant, but now that I am older and can afford to buy new games it's turned me in to a game packrat! I have over 30 360 games I will likely never touch again until the next console comes out and they have one of those awesome trade-in deals at launch where it's likely the only time you'll ever get a decent deal on your used stuff.

As for PC games I play all my old favorites because they don't make'em like they useta!

I always play my old games. Especially when waiting for a new release. It's great to play Fallout/2 for hours to prepare yourself for Fallout 3. I still think Half-Life is the best FPS ever made - with the exception of the Xen levels, I hate them - and play it regularly. Age of Empires II is great fun, as is the original Red Alert.

For some reason playing these games from my childhood is just great, it makes you feel pure, and they're good back-ups in case your much anticipated game turns out to be crap. Which it often does.
