No, I do it aswell. It's a good thing mate, I'd hate to be one of these snotty pricks who finishes a game, condemns it and takes it back. I go through a cycle with my games all the time, usually about 5 or 6 months after I lose interest is when they appeal to me again. And a game like Fable II has a lot of replay value going for it.

BAD VANGUARD. STOP TALKING ABOUT FABLE.

I have a stained relationship with my old games, as I can't stand playing some PS2, (hell even some of the first PS3) games as the graphics just annoy me too much, but that said, I can happily play games were the graphics weren't taken seriously, like the Pokemon games on the Gameboy, and games like Pac Man, Frogger and Space Invaders. But playing a game as recent as CoD3 just can't be done, as I know there is a better version of this game, with better graphics, that I could be playing in the next 2 minutes if I turn off the game right now.

I'd rather not play my old games anymore. I tried it a few times, but it just didn't work out the way I wanted. Usually, I'm staggered by how bad the game actually looks. 640 × 480 doesn't look pretty on a 22'' Widescreen monitor. Even when I can look past the graphics, old games usually don't have certain game mechanics I'm used to now. For one, some very old RTS games don't have group functions or decent hotkeys for example.

Yes.
There are several old games I own that I replay every 1-2 years or more often. Just now I have Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars on my desk. Last summer I played through Red Alert once more.
Oh man. Heroes of Might and Magic for the extreme win. HOMM3 is still one of my favorite games of all time.... I think I'll install that when I'm finished going through Max Payne 1 + 2 again... if I can get it working on Vista anyway, I seem to remember issues there.

But yeah, I definately play through the oldies. I've never once traded in or sold a game, so with the exception of a few games I've lost through the years, I've still got everything. Spent some time with Red Alert 1 + 2 a while back, Chrono Trigger, Max Payne again, gotta get the N64 dug out so I can play through Conkers again, just to many to even name.

Lately I've been playing through a lot of new games that have been coming out, but I find myself in ruts sometimes where I feel like a little nostalgia.

I'm playing through Descent atm.

That game is so much better with a 360 pad.

I also keep Ghost Recon and Homeworld 2 (not really "old" but whatever) perma-installed on my hard drive.
