I read comics like a thirsty man drinks water. Currently, I'm following:

From Vertigo:

American Vampire
New Deadwardians
Scalped
Saucer Country

From Marvel:

X-Factor
Avengers vs X-Men
Amazing Spider Man
Daredevil
Punisher
Ultimate Spider Man
Ultimate X Men
Wolverine and the X-Men
Gods of Mars

From Dark Horse:

Conan
Alabaster: Wolves
The Massive

From Image:

Invincible

And last but not least, from DC:

All-Star Western
Aquaman
Animal Man
Batgirl
Batman
Batwoman
Flash
Green Lantern Corps
Resurrection Man
Supergirl
Voodoo

And I have a gigantic comics collection that has formed over the years.

I'll read the occasional trade, but I have enough expensive hobbies as it is without picking up monthly comic books. Especially because I can buy a used DVD for the cost of just one issue, and just yesterday bought three PS2 games for it.

Edit: Yes, I mean the three games combined were essentially the cost of one issue of a Marvel or DC comic. $3.19 including tax.

I would if I could find one that looked good but I want a series with a clear beginning, one storyline, no superheros and likable characters. The last one is hard since it's pretty subjective.
You[re looking for Bone. Bone is awesome, and ticks literally every box on that list. A few other things lie The Neverhood also come to mind. As for a western Shoujo... you're not gonna like to hear this, but it's probably Archie.

Liek Aba said, he can't die and each time he comes back he gets a new super power that makes him immune to the method of his previous death. It's actually a pretty awesome comic, and the short lived pre-reboot series is well worth getting.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot. A western shoujo series? Spider-Man loves Mary Jane.

Did they bring Ted back from the dead? Or is it another Blue Beetle?

I still read comics, but not many new ones. When I was in my mid-twenties I sold off my collection. I made a lot of money but I miss some of those titles, so I've been buying tpbs of all the best runs. My biggest regret is that I sold off Suicide Squad. Because DC are morons, that hasn't ever been collected, so I've been trying to find a full run on eBay for under $300. I don't really like current comics though.

I tend to not like a lot of western comics for various reasons. That being said, I do like reading some of the ones with different art style - Iron Man Extremis with Adi Granov's digital paintings, for example. Also agreed with Aeriath in that it's really hard to get into a lot of comics because of the massive amounts of backstory. I don't have the time, money, or inclination to collect that many comics :) So usually I'm also looking for stuff that's more standalone from the main series, like reboots or trade paperbacks.

like Irredeemable which just finished, and The Boys.
I love the boys its my absolute favorite (I think I'm on the last trade)

I started Irredemable a while ago....and while I'm certainly not saying its bad I can't help but compare it to The Boys..and..well....its not the boys..which makes me sad when I will finish the boys

OT: Preacher, V for Vendetta, Transmetropolitan, are some of the ones I've read oh and I started morning glories which while seems awsome is probably going to do my head in with the amount of WTF

I don't read that much comics. Mainly the Batman comics, Deadpool and also Dark Horse's Serenity comics (on the odd occasion where they actually release one... still waiting on a fourth)

I still read them, but completely in trade paperback form. Have all bound volumes of 100 Bullets. Still waiting for amazon to deliver the last volume of DMZ, and the most recent Walking Dead.

I can't claim I was with Walking Dead from the beginning, but I got into it about a year before the TV show came out, and quickly got up to speed. Unfortunately, my pop culture smug factor is only at moderate in this case.

Still buying the english language editions of Higurashi, but that is pretty much my last vestige of manga involvement. Lose 1 series mid translation, (publisher folded) lose all faith in US manga publishing.

Yes, I read a lot of comic books as part of my job as a comic book reviewer.

Right now, I'm reading all of the 2000 A.D. and Judge Dredd magazine that I could get my hands on.

All Star Western is the only new 52 that I'm reading. The other titles I had some interest in were cancelled.

Dark Horse, well I stay away from the Buffy/Serenity line of books.

IDW I read often and every chance I get.

No, I can't be bothered. I used to read those Nintendo based comics (Captain N, Super Mario Bros., Game Boy etc.) back in the late 80's/early 90's. Even wrote to them once too 'cause they used to publish reader mail in the back of each issue. Never knew if my letter had gotten published though, but I did get a postcard back.

Western comics, aside from Bone, I've never cared for. Manga, on the other hand, I've read a few of: Soul Eater, Dragon Ball, and maybe a Digimon manga.

As for webcomics:
Manly Guys Doing Manly Things
Name Game
Scandinavia and the World
Awkward Zombie
Black Adventures

Yeah, like someone already said the new Blue Beetle is a kid named Jaime. I'm enjoying it, it manages to blend funny with action (I know it's juvenile, but I can't help but laugh that he got an erection when Bleez pinned him down)

The weird thing with the Blue Beetle now though is...well...it's just pretty different. Now the suit is from an alien scarab race. He feels like less of a technology based hero, which is a shame, I always liked those.

Fun bit though, at the end of the most recent issue, our old friend Booster Gold did pop up.

The new Blue Beetle has been around for a while, and before the reboot was in an interesting position as far as most characters in super-hero comics have, especially DC characters... his friends and family knew his secret so it wasn't just High School super-hero angst of "how can I keep my secret from those I love."

Much like a lot of the cool and interesting in DC, the reboot knocked that right away with making it a requirement of the Scarab that he can't tell anyone.

Before the reboot they even did a team up with the New BB and Booster Gold that was very respectful of the legacy of Ted Kord and how using his superhero name was an honor. Well written drama.
