Why don't you hunt down some old Bioware games like KoTOR, NWN, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, KoTOR 2 (I know, Obsidian), etc. Just because they're old doesn't mean obsolete.

Hmmm. Sins of a Solar Empire if you can survive the slow pace. The Elder Scrolls games are good, like Oblivion, and with the PC version you have access to a bunch of mods for the game. Try to stay away from Capcom ports though, they tend to be...shall I say sub-par with their PC ports.
