Starcraft 2 will most likely keep you entertained for months if you can actually be bothered to get good. If not, even though this is not a PC game, get Red Dead Redemption. There's at least 70 hours of content in there.

But on recommendations... If you're feeling old school you should get the original Deus Ex. But only for the PC. If you have steam I recommend you get Psychonauts and Shadow of the Colossus. Games from a few years ago were actually pretty awesome too. But if you want a modern classic Metro 2033.
