Do you remember when multiplayer meant sitting on the sofa with a couple of mates.
Have you tried to play a multiplayer of any modern game? Prepare for a case of grey blind as there are no god damn colours to differentiate anything from anything else in your tiny portion of the screen.

OT: Do you remember when crap wasn't the fore most genre of game?

Do you remember when the community on the internet was still reasonably civil? That's all gone to hell now...
Fuck off grandad.

Do you remember when the internet was a precious resource that you could only use at certain times?

Do you remember when you had to dial up to receive the internet?

Do you remember when you had to get off the internet to let your parents use the land line?

Do you remember owning a land line?

Do you remember when we used to dance
And incidence arose from circumstance
One thing lead to another we were young
And we would scream together songs unsung

It was the heat of the moment
Telling me what your heart meant
Heat of the moment shone in your eyes.

Oh, right OT...

Do you remember when multiplayer meant split-screen.
Do you remember when you had to buy memory cards
Do you remember passwords.
Do you remember when the Nintendo 64 needed a expansion pack!

do you remember when, high budget triple A games left you feeling overjoyed and ready to start drooling over the sequel?

yes, but the memory is fading R.I.P. value in games.

Pffft. Do you remember when all you had were 3 lives to get you through the entire game? None of this regenerating health malarkey or checkpoints, it was use them up and bam, back to the beginning of the game.

The number of times my old Amiga joysticks nearly got thrown through windows during Gods, Zool, Rainbow Islands...

Do you remember when you had to delete stuff off your memory card so you could save another game?

Do you remember how it killed a small part of you inside when you forgot to do that before playing and couldn't save your game?

To me that notion is on par with dividing by zero.

Do you remember the time when you could use some of your games as Audio CDs and pretty much got the game soundtrack for free?

(For those who don't know: Being CDs and all, some PSone Games had thier music put into a usual Audio-CD Track Structure, with the first track being the Data of the Game followed by the games music. It wasn't possible with ALL games, but WipeOut and WipeOut XL/2097 used this method to store it's excellent Soundtrack)

You mean back when it was a university experiment?

Do you remember when it wasn't that big of a deal if you didn't have any game cartridges on you because you could just turn the Master System on without a cartridge inserted and play Alex Kidd?

I think call of duty 3 was the best one in the series, probably because it relied more on team work. :)

Do you remember when RPG's actually had multiple ways of solving problems and those solutions didn't feel like a cheat?
