Do you remember when a new game came out- complete and not needing any patches, and as you looked through it at all the features, you were satisfied that everything that should have been included in the game was, and then some? X-Wing and TIE-Fighter come rushing to mind.
You do know that games in 90s were ten times more buggy than games are now?
I am not talking about shit games only but also classics were also plagued by thousands of them.

Do you remember when a newly bought game would play perfectly, but erase your entire hard-drive if you tried to uninstall it?

More often than not those bugs were hilarious. It's only when games started trying to squeeze every ounce of juice out of the graphics that the really game breaking bugs started appearing.

Of course, there are exceptions... like E.T....

Do you remember when Square-Enix (or should I say Square/Enix?) made good games?
Do you remember when games only had one difficulty setting, Hard as all hell?
Do you remember when your mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, etc. didn't play video games? (well, I don't because my parents were gamers (more or less) during the NES era, and my grandparents still don't)
Do you remember when we did insane things to try to get something that can't be gotten? (Triforce/ Temple of Light anyone?)

As Eugene Hutz so eloquently put it:
"There was never any good old days, they are today, they are tomorrow.
It's a stupid thing to say cursing to our own with sorrow."
