I ALWAYS sing on Xbox Live. It's part of my trash-talking game. And I have an encyclopedic memory, so I'll just sing some song to go with their name,or I'll make up words to a song's tune.
I do this almost every day with my brother in real life. I make up songs with horrible lyrics to constantly rip on him.
Also, when Stepbrothers came out on DVD, then when it came out on Satellite, I would always, always sing either "boats and hos" or that "something to talk about" song that Will Ferrel sings acapella. That usually drives people nuts and messes up their game. But then, there's always the mute button.

I also love that in Halo, when you kill someone, they can hear what you say, and I'd usually be singing. hehehehe

what i do is just scream constantly untill i pass out. no im kidding i hate it when people sing or play their god damn music, who seriously goes "man this guys cool he's playing his music to me and it sounds so good through a heavily compressed and data reduced format?"

The last time I used a mic (Halo 3 a few months back), everybody (including me) joined in singing "Don't Stop Believin'," it was hilariously awesome.

As long as everybody joins in, because then it's hilarious, I don't mind it.

I wish I had a mic on PC though.

Well it can be funny sometimes, especially when more then half of the players is apparently drunk and begin to sing their national anthem.

But yeah, it can also be greatly annoying when you're concentrating on you target while an 8-year old 'tries' to sing. I have to admit I made some 'whoopsies' with my grenade launcher, resulting in the particular player being 'accidentally' blown up. Mostly the little brat gets it and shuts up.

I'm glad some PC-based servers have an age limit.

Yeah, those servers are a brilliant idea, so long as the chavs don't lie about their age.

I've had a couple of sing alongs on the Escapist server, but that wasn't me on my own.

Hehe, we crashed the servers with our singing.

OT: A few times playing Team Fortress 2 people have spontaneously started singing the pokemon theme song. Along with many other nerdy references(Ranging from Star-Trek to Yu-Gi-Oh to He-Man).

They were mostly hilarious since everyone sang though. But it does get annoying sometimes.

Yeah, I think it's only fun if everybody goes along with it. God, I need to get a mic for PC.

I personally don't do it, but I've been tempted before.
Especially since one of the people I regularly talk to likes to mess with everyone by singing the ridiculously catchy songs from his son's favorite tv shows.

There have been many moments of group singing in online games that I have experienced.
The entire team singing the song from the original mario games as we rushed the enemy in CSS.
We had the entire server singing Still Alive once.
Singing paranoid whilst everyone on our team was a spy in TF2.
One time in COD 4 we started singing a song as a harmony over teamspeak.
I have also created multiple songs playing Halo 3 with my friends.
