I couldn't/was too lazy to find a singer for the songs I was writing, so a little over a year ago I decided to give it a shot. I immediately realized that I sucked, so I took singing lessons during the fall and spring semesters last year and improved a lot, although my range isn't that great. Now I'll finally have some time to devote to improving, so next semester I'll continue taking them and actually work at it this time.

I'm the vocalist for my band. But I don't think you'd call what I do singing

If you ever need a low pitch, somewhat Jeff Goldblum-esque spoken word singer, look no further.

I'm like William Shatner if he were an arrogant mathematician.

Chaos theory
CHAOS... theory
What is it?
A theory?
No, more.
Much more.
It is...

Yeah I sing, very well according to my last producer...

My range covers 4 octaves across varying styles...

I sound like a cross between Thom Yorke, Matt Bellamy and Chris Cornell... Ooh and a bit of non-growly Corey Taylor apparently.

having recorded myself singing and listening back to it, I think I'm pretty reasonable. I'm not claiming to be otis redding or nothing but I can sing. I kinda sound like those guys you see in musicals; good but not good enough to be a pop star (not that I'd want to be one).

I sing alone in my car, and no other time. Partly because I'm self-conscious, and partly to spare humanity the horror.
Replace 'car' with 'shower' and that's me.

No. I'm seventeen, my voice is in complete shambles and will be for quite some time.

Yes. If there is a song I really like I'll sing along with it.

Some selected songs I can sing fairly well... But that doesn't mean I want to

I don't know. Hard to hear myself. But I could probably learn when I get out of puberty. Right now I can't hit one high note.

No.
I don't sound like nails on a chalkboard, or anything. I'm just nothing special.
I sort of sound like Billy Joe Armstrong, only less talented.

I would probably get better if I practiced, but I really hate singing.
There's always a chance someone will hear me.
