All my old consoles are still hooked up (NES, SNES, etc), excluding the PS1 because the PS2 has backwards compatability, and the Sega Genesis because all the games I want to play are on collection disks.

Yes, my friends and I still get together to play NFL Blitz 2002 on n64...any blitz game after that is garbage. Things get quite intense...I think it's the most competitive game anyone can ever play.

This is the very reason why Nintendo started the virtual console I'm sure. Everyone loves a classic.

As for me, I have been known to hop back to my GCN from time to time. I'll play ToS until i get sick of the dialogue.

i hear it, even now, weeping in the next room softly.

I've got a SNES hooked up to the TV next to my bed. Play Secret of Mana when I'm bored, Mario Kart with company.

Currently I don't have any older systems hooked up, but I'll occasionally pull out the sega master system, snes, or nes and play the older games when I feel like it - which is a rare occasion. Recently I revived one of my old junk computers and installed Windows 98 on it. I plan to use it to play my older unplayable computer games (like 'Day of the Tentacle' and 'Return to Zork')

I think it's silly that someone would plug in their Gamecube next to their Wii. Why not play the Gamecube games on the Wii? It saves room.

Oh, and Pong. I'll occasionally hook Pong up and play it with friends.

Game Boy Pocket, the black and white one, with mario, erm not sure which mario it is, its very hard though, you die you have to start the whole game again. Then again this doesnt narrow it down, this method of deaths and respawnin is typical of 90% of all mario games.

I set aside my old Xbox just in case, but I haven't touched it once since the 360 came in; most of my old collection was covered by back-compatibility. The Xbox is my oldest console, as until 2004 I just played PC games.

Hell yes. Any time a console lacks backwards compatibility, there will inevitably be a few gems left behind by the new wave that cannot be surpassed or even duplicated save through emulation. Still got a large library of SNES and N64 classics that I will break out on occasion. In fact I played through Star Fox 64 just the other day- still can't quite top some of my old scores in Expert Mode.

MacBeth is still a wonderful piece of level design.

I own a PS2 and a Wii (and a couple of handhelds but that's irrelevant). But since I'm not gonna buy a 360, I still play some old games, such as Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. I don't care how old a game is, and I don't care much about graphics (key word 'much, if the game's all pixelated I'm annoyed, but I don't really care how many polygons the damn thing has as long as I can identify enemy from friend and tell at all times that I'm shooting straight). If it's good, it's good, you can always revisit it.

I still have my old SNES, Dreamcast, N64, and the like. And I still, from time to time, play games on them.

My PS2 is gathering dust in a closet with an undiagnosed problem (I think its something with the disk drive, but I have neither the knowledge to fix it, or the will to get it fixed). If it still worked, I'd probably play it, but if it still worked, I probably still wouldn't have a 360.

Dammit, just when I stopped yammering on about my old systems, this comes along, so, let's give a go one more time, shall we?

I only have one game for my Super Nintendo, Link to the Past, which I find funny because as much as I try to like Zelda games, I just can't. That, and I have a Game Genie too. Ahh, Game Genie. Good times.

My Genesis, that's the one I actually care about. There, I have Vectorman, Earthworm Jim, and Sonic 2/3/& Knuckles, all of which I still play today. I have others I can't find (Namco Museum, Sonic 1/2/Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on one cartridge, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball), but I really don't care. The best ones are the ones I can find.

The NES and Atari 7800 are long since dead, but with the prevalence of emulators (legal if you have the original games), I can still enjoy Super Mario Bros 3, Ninja Gaiden, Guardian Legend, Bionic Commando, 8 Eyes (complete Castlevania ripoff), Battletoads, Nintendo World Cup Soccer (40 goals in the first half? Hell, yes.), Willow (ahh, Willow), Startropics 1 & 2, Rampart, and... I can't think of any good 7800 games.

However, the Atari 2600 is still alive and kicking (NO "STILL ALIVE" JOKES!), and I defy anyone to take me on in Warlords or Surround. If you feel like challenging yourself, try Kaboom! or Adventure. Go ahead, try Adventure: find the invisible dot, take it to the invisible hole in the wall, and see the credits. No fair using a map.

I find it kind of funny that my most recent systems mentioned are 16 bit and some people are lamenting on how much they enjoyed playing their Xbox/PS2/Gamecube as if it were ages ago.
