Yes, I go back to the older games when ever I've run out of recent releases. Also, before a sequel comes out, i usually go back and play the previous game / games. For example, I plan to beat Mass Effect about a week before Mass Effect 2 comes out. Keeps the story fresh in the mind, plus I lost my old save game data.

I love my current gen consoles but I do get tired of all these new fangled 4-D, interwebby multiplayer, anti-analised games.
At times like this, I thank Miyamoto-san for the existence of Virtual Console. All of these amazing games, with characters that actually had character, gameplay that was intuitive yet complex, soundtracks that were simple yet beautiful and all of this without the need to use 50 separate buttons in order to complete the damn thing.
I suppose this ramble is a sign of my advancing years.

I played Sim Ant earlier today. I know that never had a sequel, but still... They should make a sequel!!! Yeah, I play originals of games often, just for kicks. It's fun.
Occasionally. KOTOR is my favorite game so I still play that often enough. Same with the older Silent Hill games (I hate the new ones) and Deus Ex.
I bought ID softwares complete catalogue and plowing through them as I write, so yes I play the originals.
