I want to. I really want to. But I just can't bring myself to. I'll re-install it, start a new character, realize that I've already sunk 150 hours into this same game, find some mods, faff around trying to get them to work together, get frustrated, uninstall, rinse and repeat.

I don't know whether Skyrim's just a worse game than Oblivion, or my tastes have changed (and by this I mean, standards have risen), but I just can't bring myself to spend 1500 hours in it like I did with Oblivion. The desperate need for mods came in around the 1000 hour mark with Oblivion. With Skyrim, I started thinking about it at the 120 hour mark, and started installing them at the 125 hour mark.

Do I still play Skyrim? I never bloody completed the main quest!

Unfortunately I have a job and an irritating, nagging need to build a more fulfilling life for myself. As such I'm slowly realising that I don't think I have the time or the patience any more to play games like Fallout or Skyrim.

I've actually been trying to get back into Skyrim recently but trying to setup the mod configurations, while also finding the right ones, is sometimes more time-intensive than the actual game. Sometimes I think I like modding it and seeing how well/if it runs more than playing. Had that experience with Oblivion and Morrowind too....

I sunk many hours into Skyrim. I've done everything I wanted to. Completed all the major storylines (except the civil war snoozefest). Not even the dlc could make me come back.

Fallout: NV has filled that skyrim slot in my life recently.

Yup. I've got a couple of characters on the go using SkyRe, A New Life, Frostfall, RND and Hunterborn. I find mods have greatly increased the lifespan of the game for me. It could be because the added survival elements and tougher combat has given the game a new layer of challenge (although combat in SkyRe can still devolve into spamming power attacks, only it happens a little later) which I have been lacking in other games. That and being able to ignore the main quest is quite nice.

I started my second playthrough a week ago, since i didn't really do much with it the first time and now there are a lot of new DLC's and mods that i can play around with.

I tend to play it in bursts, usually when I have something non-Skyrim to do that's not interesting enough to do/watch/listen to on its own. (Visually uninteresting internet videos, podcasts, moderately good tv series, etc.) I'm still fairly low level though, probably because I spend most of my time running into really difficult falmer areas, dying, trying again, dying, and so on for hours at a time. I did luck out by somehow getting my hands on an Ebony Sword around level 20 though. Not sure how that happened.
