Not exactly but I am a magpie I can smell treasure and loot from half a mile away. I loot every box.
me:TREASURE CHEST!!!
my friend: we are lv 50 and this area is lv5.
me: but it might just have something.
my friend: no I'm not going to go to that treasure chest it's like half way across the map.
me: THERE'S NOTHING GOOD IN HERE!!!
my friend: OK can we now just kill the people we have too
*we kill the boss*
me: *using the bosses head as a hat* I just picked up a cool helmet
my friend: that's a severed head...
me: but it gives me +5 magic on top of my previous helmet.
my friend: you can't use magic.
me: your just jealous of my equipment.

another example
* I killed a room full of enemies and the room is completely empty and all the walls look the same*
brother: now kick that bosses but
me: but my loot senses are tingling
*shoots a wall*
me: I knew it treasure chest
brother: how did you know that it was there?
me I said my loot senses are tingling what to you not understand.

and I also have to reload my gun after every enemy killed even if I use 1 bullet of a 200 bullet clip and the gun takes 10min to reload.

358 1/2 days was a ***** for this.

Me: Alright, time to finish the chapter.
VGOCD: No, your missing two treasure chests!
Me: But.. but i can't reach those yet...
VGOCD: ****** slap* You only can't reach them because your a *****. Try harder!
Me: Please let me finish the chapter!
VGOCD: Fine, finish the chapter like a ***** with incomplete goals. But every new ability you get i will force you to play every level you missed a treasure in again just in case.

Or..

VGOCD:I'm seeing a lot of single crests on the challenge missions here.
Me:.. They... They're hard...
VGOCD: You wanna know what else is hard? My foot. You wanna know where I am going to! put it?
Me:... No...
VGOCD: Your crotch! That way you'll testicles will be the right size of a One crest little *****!
Me: Stop calling me a *****.
VGOCD: I'll stop calling you a ***** when you act like you deserve those berries you keep in your moms purse. NOW GET TO WORK!
Me: :(
the voice you here telling you to get the treasure chests is properly me I religiously loot every chest one the map I'm on (exception to an open world map like fallout 3 but I give it my best go) how can you not get every chest on the map also if something says I have a odd number of chests that doesn't end in a 5 I will be convinced that there is a treasure chest there is and normally I'm right. you know scavenger quests I LOVE them I have to complete anything (the closer to completing I am the stronger the need). also man up and get those treasure chest I have a talent to get to treasure chests and areas of the map I'm not suppose to. so just use your mind and get them O\_/O grrrr.

I check everything in Fallout 3 for loot, even while I'm still in combat...

That's why I have like 1200 MF cells and 1100 5.56 rounds...
That's nothing
By my 300 hours I had
Over 30,000 bottle caps
just under 10,000 shot gun rounds
20,000 5.66mm rounds
500 missles
A couple thousand stimpacks
3000 energy cells
and at least 300 of every single drug

OT: Mine is actually related to my post, before I had the grim reaper perk whenever I had even a slight bit of AP I would into vats without even thinking about it. Sometimes resulting in death or massively wasting ammo

I think everyone has the thing with reloading, I think its from where to start with you don't reload enough and you run out of ammo the the critical moment just one too many times, then it sticks in your head.. must reload... reload... *twitch*... reload... must reload ^^
I've just had to unlearn this for alien swarm actually so i really notice it, in alien swarm if you reload you loose any ammo left in the clip so reloading after firing 1 bullet is really bad.

anyway I think the main games I had this problem with were baldus gate and fallout, baldurs gate I explored every inch, and thats a big game, and with fallout I collected and sold all the loot from dead enemies... which could be a lot, like if you kill 15 bandits you have 15 sets of guns and armour and equipment, which could mean 10 trips to and from the nearest trader, who could be 5 minutes away...I hated that but I still did it :)

Yes, I do indeed suffer this affliction. A perfect example would be going through Imperial City Marketplace in Oblivion.

Me: Hey, I wonder if there's any gold in this barrel here? Hey so there is, cool!
VGOCD: You wanna.. you know, check the other twenty or so crates over there? There might be more.
Me: Naa, I think I'll continue my quest for now.
VGOCD: But.... the crates, you haven't looked in them yet. They're full of stuff, waiting to be found. PLEASE look in the crates.
Me: I don't need to, most are full of crappy shoes an rolls of-
VGOCD:DO IT!!!!!!!

I also do the reload every bullet thing. But I'm really especially bad in good looking shooters, where I'll stop to admire the view while my teammates get blown to pieces round the corner.

I do have that mini-map issue.

Also, I have CRS (constant reload system) where, even if I've only shot a single round, it nags at my mind that the clips not completely full.
I used to have that a lot, but after playing Alien Swarm I quickly grew out of it. Seeing the message "86 assault rifle rounds lost" makes you stop reloading as often.

I do like to explore every little path to make sure I didn't miss anything. It took me forever to get through Derris-Kharlan in Tales of Symphonia because of that.

Yeah but not that much.

VGOCD: You got a kill?
Me: Yep!
VGOCD: Reload.
Me: But I used one bullet....
VGOCD: NOW!
Me: Another kill.
VGOCD: Reload.
Me: But there are more enimies!
VGOCD: DO IT!
The worst part is, if I'm watching someone play, and they don't relode when it's safe, even if they used only one bullet, it pisses me off.

Funnily enough the same thing happened to me, but only in Alien Swarm. They did it in Mafia as well, and I find I die less in those because I'm being careful about where I reload instead of doing it out in the open.

VGOCD: Do it! Do it now! Everything is trying to kill us! I hear voices! They want your blood! Quick save
Me: Save *kills some splicers*
VGOCD: Quick save! That big daddy wants to tear your face off and use it to entertain that little sister!
Me: True *saves then shoots big daddy*
VGOCD: QUICK SAVE! BEFORE THE POWRERS OF THE SAVING GOD ITS BULLETS ARE USELESS!!!

I'm kinda like this in that i try and: explore all of the map, pick up all of the loot and experiment with every useable thing the game throws my way. But that's more because i enjoy "getting the most" out of the game than because the voices in my head are bugging me.

This was on one account, I spent 400 hours on my good account where I found that many items, did all pieces of dlc, found every location without the exploration perk, full 1250 gamerscore, had every single weapon maxed out on repairs in alphabetical order in my house and maxed out on every stat. Without any form of guide bar to get one of the bobbleheads

I also have a bad save file where I spent 90 hours but I can't remember how much stuff I had and a neutral account where I had spent 115 hours on it

I really like Fallout 3 *twitch*

Any rounds leave the gun, and I have to reload.
If I have full ammo for a weapon and find some ammo, I will waste ammo and pick up the extra.

I also collect two of everything to leave at whatever safe house I have, and try to carry one of each weapon type in RPG's. My hording does come in handy, like how I collect pre-war money, cameras and pre-war books, all of which are extremely valuable. I'm unable to sell the pre-war money but its nice to know that I have over a thousand caps worth of weightless money on me at any one time.
One thing in fallout drives me insane, not have near 100% condition on weapons and armour.

Pretty much the same way here. I've been trained to reload after every kill...

I do. I actually also suffer from OCD (Obsessive Complusive Disorder). And thought it's much more suffocating in real life than it is in video games, it is still a hindrance. Particularly because the time I have for gaming isn't limitless. Maybe after the darn exams are over.

Me:"I have about fifteen minutes left, let's go kill the boss!"
VGOCD:"Wait! Pick up that potion that bandit dropped!"
Me:"What, why? I have nearly half a hundred of them in my inventory!"
VGOCD:"I love potions, just do it!"
Me:"Alright, alright.."

30 seconds hike back to the bandit I slew..

Me:"Happy?"
VGOCD:"Not yet."
Me:"Go- Wait, what?"
VGOCD:"There's a treasure chest right over there! Go get it!"
Me:"There are powerful creatures guarding it, I don't want to waste anymore of my time, potions or mana!"
VGOCD:"Do it."
Me:"Shit."

A minute's walk to the treasure chest, and about another three for slaying the monsters

Me:"Alright, let's go!"
VGOCD:"Wait! The minimap indicates that there is an area that you have yet to explored!"
Me:"Only a tiny little square!"
VGOCD:"We must make the minimap nice and clean, no edges. Do it!"
Me:"ARGH!!"

Was really far away. Took me about another three minutes to get there. I should never have opened that map.
...eah, thats me too :(
