Do you talk to your pet?

I tend to ponder the wonders of the universe with a stuffed animal (Domo-Kun to be precise). Domo is a little pretentious and mostly it devolves into a debate on when Final Fantasy started to suck. I point to X-2 as warning signs and 12 as the death of the francise to me.
Domo states that 8 was when Square started to cater to all its new fans, sacrificing stories and characterization for more angst than an Evangelion/Gundam Seed marathon. Domo is a real big fan of 7.

All the time. I'm usually calling them stupid or something. I love them to death none the less, but its best to remind them who has the opposable thumbs dammit!

I talk to my cat but not in the same way I would talk to another human being. I know he can't respond but I do it anyway because I think on some level he can understand, by reading my emotions and the tone of my voice.

I used to talk to Whiskey all the freaking time. When I wasn't talking to him, I usually growled with him. He had a good non-aggressive growl, almost like he was trying as hard as he could to actually form words. It usually ended up with him yawning with a high-pitched whine and giving a look I could basically translate as "I give up; but you're still the best guy on the planet in my book. Here's a lick to prove it."

And then he'd lick my hand or a corner of my face.

Also, I talk to my pets a lot. They love the attention and its nice always having someone to talk to.

Yes, I talk to both of my cats very often and I talk to cats I meet if i'm just walking around or whatever, I met a nice cat called Trixie recently actually, we had an interesting discussion but alas, I couldn't stay for very long

yeah i talk to my dog, but not actual conversations, i just make fun of her or play talk or whatever

sometimes i act out what i think she is saying to make people laugh, but that's about it

I talk to most animals I come across. Didn't realize it was a habit of mine until this thread. In particular, I talk to the neighours' cat when he comes into our house, and there's a family of pukekos [http://farm1.static.flickr.com/3/5540740_b62aa276f3.jpg] that visit sometimes too, I'll talk to them when they pop over as well.
