Do you target big ones or little ones first?

In a shooter, what sorts of enemies do you prefer to take out first? The big ones or the little ones? Give specific examples if you have any.

I always go for the little ones first, since they're usually packed in large numbers and can deal a lot of damage very quickly, which is really annoying.

i usually go for the little ones, get them out the way so i can concentrate on the big one uninterrupted.

In Halo 3, I always shoot the grunts first. Why? Because they're usually in front, they love using plasma grenades, they can die with one well aimed head shot, and if I have the skull turned on, they burst into confetti whenever I do get a head shot (which is often.)

Honestly, I think Bungie showed us the best way to train people to get head shots; simply fill the enemy's head with a confetti surprise, and you'll never miss again.

Back on topic, I shoot the little ones first.

Depends on what weapons I'm carrying. If I can, I like to take out the little ones quickly without wasting too much ammo. But if I've got an overpowered weapon like a rocket launcher, I'll aim for the biggest enemy and hope for some collateral damage to the little ones.

Don't know what ever one is easier to kill at that moment in time.

Go after the big bad first, hack it for a bit, and destroy any little ones that get in my way.
Are we talking about any game specifically?

Depends on what weapon I have, what weapons they have, proximity, and whether or not they could be a threat if I ran around them to go for another target.

Depends. If the larger enemy is going to be easier to avoid, and there are a lot of smaller enemies, yeah, i'd take out the smaler guys first. If the big enemy is just going to be too much of a pain while I'm clearing the room of smaller threats, then it might be easier to just avoid the smaller enemies and concetrate on taking out the bigger enemy.

The big ones tend to have deadlier weapons like rocket launchers. So ill take those down first. Small ones tend to be faster or more mobile and require more concentration.

The little ones usually do as much damage as the big ones and since there's always a bloody swarm of them their compounded damage puts the single big one to absolute shame. They're my first targets, usually a single grenade or whirlwind attack will clear them so it's wisest to clear the little buggers first before then pulling out the big-boy ammunition and concentrating on the larger enemy.

I usually go after my teammates first, to reduce the risk of friendly fire.

Afterwards, the enemies are usually dead because they stepped into the firefight.

I go after the easiest to kill - if they are heavily armoured and slow you can dance round them.

if they are heavy armoured and fast I usually try to take them down

In shooter's I'll usually use grenades and a shotgun to get rid of all the little ankle biters before I use heavier weapons to kill the big enemies.
