do you think final fantasy VII (7) should be remastered for the play station 3 and 360.

Yes why not, its essentialy what fans have been asking for since the bleeding tech demo and if you dont like it you wouldent have to buy it.

Not reli, after all the shitty sequels, prequels and movies i don't trust square with their old games. I suppose if it was an exact remake, with no real changes other than graphics and stuff. I'm fine as long as dialog combat is kept exactly the same.

to every one how have commented so far.
to those how would like to see it re-mastered and this means no changes to the story only graphics, and maybe some good voice acting (advent children) i think i have to agree with you i'm not a fan boy(what ever that is) ff7 is my brothers and i happened to pick it up after watching advent children (i liked the film didn't understand a lot of it but the film was good). i think that this game is class yes it can be a bit mountainous some time and yes the speech is a bit dated (and weird) but this game is what optimizes the ff7 sires i could ask any one even my nan ( how surprisingly plays cod4 how knew) which about ff sires and she would instantly go on about number 7. all this game needs is a bit of a face lift of "boob job" (lol to the guy how said that) and i think it would become the new pinnacle of the ff world and yes theres been of spin offs but i hardly count it as a spin off i think of it as more a rejuvenation like what they do with old film like the day the earth stood still ( never seen it so i would not know if it was a good remake of not) but at the end of the day im thinking about the fans yes i know theres a lot already but lets give them a really classic game which is acutely good instead of some of the crap which is out today (storm rise "vomit") and with the tech in todays world they could make it look really cool and i don't mean mister T cool i mean i just found the BFG 90000 buried in my back garden cool (don't ask me why it would be in my garden).

FFVII is one of my least favorite Final Fantasy games. Still, I might be persuaded to vouch for a re-make, or a re-release if they would actually give a good translation this time. The original game's script/translation was atrocious.

keep everything the same, and just upgrade the graphics ALOT, and replace text boxes for voice actors? or keep text box up and just fix some of the spelling mistakes or grammar problems

they should only do it if they do NOT change the gameplay or the storyline, only the graphics!!! :D dont want them to ruin it now do we
I am too in love with Crisis Core's handling of the Materia system to think of an FFVII remake sticking to the old way of things.
i have to admit, i do love crisis cores menus and materia, but i think they should leave combat the same!!!!
Considering that Agito will be "Crisis Core + Party Members", a remake of FF7 with the same combat mechanics and exploration system as Crisis Core/Agito would be cool. Although we have yet to see how Agito town/zone exploration will be, hope they can follow suit and do something similar.
Not to mention phantasy star portable like multiplayer :) You contro one character while 3 other friends play other party members. Now imagine THAT in a FF7 remake.
Throw in the option to go it solo in the singleplayer mode, and you got the perfect sequel as far as I'm concerned. Online Multiplayer would certsinly be fine addition, but I'd hate to have to deal with a bunch potion gobblers simply because I don't know anyone who likes JRPGs, although my brother might go for it, considering how much he enjoyed Crisis Core, but I doubt they'd include split-screen multiplayer.

Meh, I actually beat it for the first time the other week and thought it was alright the way it was. If any game deserves a massive update it would have to be Final Fantasy 5. FF5 over FF7 any day of the week.

i trully would like to see it come out for the 360 simply beacuse i dont have a ps1 or 2. but they need to keep the voice actors from advent children. otherwise it would be a complet disaster.

When will they take heed of the part in the name: FinalFantasy?

Besides that little blurp, a re-make 100% with no alterations for PS3 would be interesting but certainly not for the 360. Its a PlayStation Icon, not a Trans-Console hooker.

It's funny that a couple of people here has brought up the PC version of FF7...
Sure it exists and sure it's possible to get hold of.
The problem lies in it not being able to be played on XP or higher...
I borrowed the game from a friend, even though I own the PS1 version, and I tried installing and playing it, sadly it complained that I was lacking a graphic card and that I had no RAM =/ So check up on things before you speak =/ (Switching to Windows 95 mode and all that stuff didn't make a difference)

Personally I'd love to play a graphical remake of FF7... but as I don't own a PS3, and have no money with which to get one, I would only become frustrated if they did release it =P
