As long as Enix would tweak the graphics and then release the game WITHOUT A SINGLE DAMN CHANGE TO THE STORY OR GAMEPLAY, then fuck yes.
I think a re-release would be great as psn or xbl game but I say no to a remake. Sure maybe update the cut scenes and such but if they go through the whole process of updating everything we will not see it for 10 years and it just would not be the same loving memory that I have of the first original. Voice acting would be ok as long as they got the people that did the voices for advent children.

That's something from a LONG~ time ago. It was a Tech Demo to show the power of the PlayStation 3 not the actual game in production, they aren't remaking it.ffxfriek said:

Sure why not. If you don;t like the remake just go back and stick with the original, seriously it's not that big of a deal. Although for me if they were to remake it I would want it on the PSP just because it would follow up Crisis Core well and quite frankly I like the Kingdom Hearts/Crisis Core art style and visuals better than super awesome Advent Children next gen visuals. The art style used in Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core had this charm to them that is fitting to the game.
All in all, if they did remake it and it sucked, who cares!?! just stick with the original version then, not a big deal.
Also, given the latest news with Sony and the PSN, FF7 is most likely going to make it's way to the North American PSN sooner or later. It's already out in Japan so a remake would seem a tad unnecessary.

I like FFVII But remaking would just ruin the nostalgia of playing the game because you know they'd screw it up with horrible voice actors (FFIV) or they'd make Cloud and Vincent ten times more angsty (Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus) or they'd take out the elements that made the game good...like the materia system, finding the gold chocobo, the limit break system, getting the ultimate weapons and limits, and the Golden Saucer...or they'd make you level up the summons using video games (just like they did with Whyt on FFIV.
I think it should be remade due to it being a classic, I think the PS1 status prevents a lot of current gamers coming into the hobby from ever playing it.

No. It wasn't all that great when they re-did the graphics for MGS 1. FF VII has enough of a following that those who want to play it will do so despite the graphics. The PS3 is backwards compatible, so it's not like people need an obsolete system to play it. Great games stand alone on their own merits. If they port it to a handheld, that'd be different, but there's no reason to port it to a modern system for play on a television when you can already play it on the systems as it exists today.
Is Advent Children Complete different than Advent Children? Cuz I'm pretty sure the Advent Children I saw had no plot and horrible voice acting. In fact, my biggest reason why they shouldn't remake VII is because they'd use the god-awful voice actors from the movie. Between Advent Children, DoC, and their Kingdom Hearts appearances I've already heard them more than enough.DigitalJedl said:
