Do you Understand?

I have made a, admittedly, nerdy science joke which gets a dichotomy of reception. It goes as follows:

"A Physicist is drving down the Eastlink (Highway in Australia) he looks down to check his speedo. When he looks back up he's in Sweden"

This joke is based on a scientific concept, and I know that it is very sad that I find it so funny.

My main question is, do you guys get it? Find it funny? And have any jokes like it?

Don't, few do. It's based on a concept in Quantum Mechanics I believe, so unless you studied Quantum Physics, I'd be surpised if you did

It's Heisenberg's uncertainty principle. Not funny, it's just XKCD humor built around feeling superior to those who can't understand it without being witty.

Don't worry, I don't get it either...

We can be not-getting it buddies!
Yay!

I wonder if me not getting has to do with me not sleeping more than 3 hours over the last few days...

Um...no. Just have done it a few times today. Being really tired and not having the brain power to do much more than post on here has helped as well. >_<

I have a feeling it's something to do with Relativity?
*sigh* This is going to show how nerdy I actually am. It based/related on/to the Uncertainty Principle (hence my Username). But you were close

I don't believe I'm superior to anyone, I only make the joke to people who I think will get it. I understand that people don't share the same knowledge as me, I know things they won't and they'll know things I don't.

I am no one's inllectual superior, a just have different knowledge to some

...at 17 you're supposed to be getting around 9-10 hours.

"Screw that!", I say.

I've lived on 6 hours of sleep for some time now. It's totally possible.
The only thing that makes me tired now (barring sickness) is oversleeping.

It's all about finding that rhythm.

I love me some Heisenberg. Sadly was recently done in a guest comic for Mr Munroe. Still pretty good though.

My apologizes, but your attempt at humor appears to be lost on me.
That is to say, I got the 'joke' but it simply wasn't funny. He knew his speed, but not his location. Perhaps it'd be more comical given a different situation, but my response to this was a resounding: Where's the punchline?
