My dad is a complete non-gamer. He once watched me playing Guitar Hero 3, and really wanted a turn. I laughed a lot, but he managed to finish a song on easy despite never playing before. He plays real guitar, which I really have a lot of respect for anyway.

He once tried my PS2 dancemat, too. I belly-laughed so much I choked on my tea.

My mum's fairly non-gamer, too, though she can kick some ass on games such as Tekken and Dead or Alive. My step-dad is a real gamer, though, owns a lot of consoles (apart from the PS3), and plays stuff such as CoD4, Gears of War, Dead Rising, etc.

I play the occasional game of Nazi Zombies with my Dad. My mum plays pokemon Emerald. But best of all, my Grandma fires up my old dreamcast and owns on Sonic adventure 2, getting above a B rank almost all the time.

No longer... I remember the good ole days back in the 80's......

... My mom would move the controller up, down and all around as she controlled Mario in the original Super Mario Bros..... almost as if she were using a Wiimote...

Also, I thought my dad was the coolest person evAr when he was the only person I knew that ever beat the original Super Mario Bros.... Oh... how times change.. now he thinks games are damn near the fuckin devil.

My dad actually got me into videogames, as he got a hold of the original Prince of Persia for the PC, back in the early 90s. One year or so later, we played through Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

He liked to play strategy games on occasion. He played the first two Age of Empire, Anno 1602 and The Settlers 3. Nowadays, little to none gaming on in my dad's life, at least none that I know off.

my mom is into the more casual stuff like solitaire. My dad rarely plays anything and it's usually some racing sim if he does.

My dad will play Wii Sports once in a great while, usually bowling. And my in-laws will play some Wii too, usually at family gathering events, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Other than that not so much.

ive tried getting my family to play games, i even stopped smoking for a month so i could afford a second wii to give to them, i then gave my mom my old gaming pc i had generously filled whit like 10 easy games from all genres, no luck, the only wii game they have is wii sports and the only thing they use my old but still really high tec pc for is playing the sims.

but my mission is not over, im still buying tons of games for my brother and every time i visited i force my mom to play some of the bout 100 games on the pc, my dad does play old medal of honor games so i tried buying some new and better war themed fps's but again no luck.

My dad plays games. He used to own a computer club, but had to let it go. He's a long time games and his job is maintaining computers, selling servers and so on. He taught me to play Diablo 2, Starcraft, Fallout 2 and so on.

My dad plays tangrams, tetris, simple stuff. I tried to get him to play games with me and this is how it went:

NCAA 07: "Which button makes me move?"
Halo 3: "Two joysticks!?"
GTA IV: "It's more fun if you drive carefully."

I got my Dad into playing the DS. He loves doing crosswords and such as well as that "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader" game. He used to play the NES years ago, but lost interest when games become more complicated.

Yeah, mine used to play a game where they'd see how far they could drop me without me dying. They were pretty damn good at it by the way.
