Ok well its just a download exclusive but an uptodate doctor who game is what we need. Its coming from the bbc website to download. Watchin it now makes me think wouldent it be good if there was a RPG doctor who?.

Slightly worringly, there appear to be some stealthy bits. The Doctor held a cadre of Daleks at bay with a Jammie Dodger today. I'm not sure stealth really captures that. Oh well.

There was an announcement (and screenshots) weeks ago, for the four download 'episodes'. Looks like it could be really bad but I hold out hope. Awesome to see the Cybermen would be in one though as they are much better than the Daleks.

Daleks are now becoming overused i mean i enjoy the show and enjoy the daleks but its like dalkes tonight i bet there'll be more daleks at the end of the series.

I don't know how they plan on doing it, but I'll definately give it a try.

Was just saying the same myself. Just watching the new episode on iplayer(TV is on the fritz so can't watch it live).

I love the Daleks as much as the next guy, but seeing them so often ruins their greatness.

That's definitely one of the elements of the new series that comes across as making it seem like a fan-fiction. While there are a few new baddies and other things , almost all the fanfare is thrown over the introductions of old classics, from the Daleks, to the Autons; from the Master, to the Cybermen, to UNIT.

Yes they are, I gave a sigh last week when the trailer for tonights episode came up, but still, they are classic Dr Who. However next weeks two parter looks great! Also interesting to note that Charles Cecil (Broken Sword/Beneath a Steel Sky) is helping the BBC make the games.

The Daleks are just as much part of Doctor Who Universe as the Cybermen or the Master and as such I can't really hate them. After all, they are the ultimate bad guys and imho they are not really overused as each storyline involving them until now was intelligent and, well, great.

Now just to see what happens with these new, supreme Daleks that have emerged.

Am I the only one who thought of Power Rangers at their appearance?

And am I the only one disappointed that the Black Dalek didn't get a re-appearance?

Yea, they seem to have a definite Dalek episode and a definite Cybermen episode now, which detracts from the whole "I've defeated you for the last time" thing. If they left it a series or two, then it'd be a bigger shock and maybe they could have a better storyline for their return.

Its a return to the classic dalek from, I remember they used to multi-colored and very tall!

Think series 1 they were in twice one on the episode dalek 1 and then again for the end of the series. series 2 they were in at the end series 3 they were in series 4 yet again and now they are in tonight and im guessing they will be in by the end of the series or next series.

It is all based around the current series. It is supposed to build on it.

Well they are the Doctors greatest enemy and I think until now the Dalek stories have always been acceptable. It depends on how they continue this latest Dalek story before we can say they are sad history or a good story.

After all the episode did end with that view on the rift in space and time and the fact that Amy could remember nothing of the Daleks. Combine this with the fact that we're back with retro-Daleks and we could have a very, very good story before our eyes, imho.
