Timelord normally has a thread within 10 seconds of the episode ending, I wated 15 mins and took matters into my own hands.Togs said:Brilliant episode- simple yet effective storyline with a sledgehammer of a moral dilemma and the Doctor being the cold, inhuman voice of reason throughout.
Oh Karen Gillan +36? Still hot.
[sub]Sorry TimeLord couldnt find your thread....[/sub]
Different Time streams maybe?imnotparanoid said:Timelord normally has a thread within 10 seconds of the episode ending, I wated 15 mins and took matters into my own hands.
No worries mate, anywhere I can geek out about that episode is good to meimnotparanoid said:Timelord normally has a thread within 10 seconds of the episode ending, I wated 15 mins and took matters into my own hands.
Definately agree, but even if the plot was a tad cliche at least it was a passble episode compared to the direness as the last 2.The_root_of_all_evil said:Think Timelord was held back by the Forums being borked.
I don't know.
Amy: Warrior Princess was cool but....
Meh.
Maybe it's just because I've seen that plot used so many times, but this season seems lacklustre.
It's not BAD...just very disjointed and the aliens/robots actually look worse than the rubber suits that they used to be made of. Both the Antibodies and the Healing robots just look laughable.
Just think there's too much Joss Wheedon slipping into Moffat's work. Little scary child, Ninja Hookers, Dumb/Dependable Men, Stumbling Zombie Monsters...
Not impressed.
Not wanting Davies' monstrosities back, but you can do so much better than this Moffat.
Huh?The_root_of_all_evil said:Ninja Hookers,
I will give you a cyber cookie if that turns out to be relevant, you can hold me to that.tomtom94 said:Fantastic episode. Acting was amazing, really dramatic - excellent. Will have to see whether next week's will compare.
Also, on a more geeky note, noticing a couple of patterns with the monsters in the episodes so far that I felt were significant:
1) They are always trying to be kind. The electric jellyfish were all "Please remain calm", the kid just wanted to fit in (and the dolls to "play"), and the monsters in this episode speak for themselves. "This is a kindness."
2) Their touch is deadly. The jellyfish were an instant kill, the dolls were an instant transform, and the robots were an instant anaesthetic.
I wonder if it's meant to be a metaphor for what the Doctor does to people. Think about what characters are starting to say, think about how his reputation preceded him in AGMGTW, and think about what we're building to.
Of course, I could be wrong. I just think it's interesting.
I think Future Amy was just incredibly pissed off by the fact that all her years where for nothing after all.J03bot said:Eugh... A well presented episode, I guess, but the central moral dilemma was a piece of shit.
So, life for the past 36 years has been utter hell?
Would you sooner have never experienced it? Great! Let's get "past you" out of here/now without it ever having happened.
Well Amy and Rory pratting about in a spa wouldn't make good telivision would itLeonartheinsane said:Yeah it was a pretty awesome ep, probabbly the best of the season. I'm amazed that Rory and Amy are still traveling with the Doctor after that one though! And How come they never get to just visit another planet without killer robots appearing!

When was thatI need to watch it NOW Y'know if a dr who episode actually had the balls to say, this time the doctor fights ninja hookers, the writer should get a medal!
Your still asking her to be party to her own execution- people have a natural tendency towards dojng whatever they can to survive.J03bot said:Eugh... A well presented episode, I guess, but the central moral dilemma was a piece of shit.
