Seeing as how off topic has taken a turn for the grim with the recent attacks and gamergate going on, let's lighten things for a while by discussing this weeks episode of the much loved serial.
So, after "Don't Blink" and "Don't Breathe" we have "Don't Think"?
Heh, I guess the last one applies to fans of Moffat...only he had to introduce it in a not bad episode. Oh well. Hopefully he won't introduce "Don't not watch bad TV from a usually bad writer" until it's a really bad ep.
It was obvious who the Architect was...though not how he got everything set up, they glossed over that.
For a long time, I was cursing the stupidity of the people for not trying to fight the monster, for not using the suicide things on the monster, for having suicide things instead of guns...only there was a reason for it at the end. Ok, this time you've got an excuse, Moffat.
...
Of course, when the Teller found the first random criminal for planning some crime they didn't actually bother to have specified...yeah, I was thinking they'd be all stuffed if he was a suicide bomber or something.
Oh, and that bit where she basically says "Could you be quiet for a moment, I want to ring security so they send someone down here to kill you?" and they all shut up? That's very polite/very thick.
Hmm, well my first thought would be that once again we have a story where part of it feels like a rip off of an earlier episode.
The whole twist at the end where it turns out the big bad monster wasn't really evil, he just was separated from his loved one. This was the same twist that was used in the series 7 episode 'Hide'
Which I'm thinking either is deliberate and has something to do with this seasons overall arc, or maybe the writers have gotten really lazy.
Apart from that, it was ok I guess. Capaldi was great as usual, Coleman didn't have as much to do in this episode as she has had in the last few, but she was fine.
I guess the biggest problem that I had with this episode, and actually every episode this season apart from the first one, is that it feels incomplete and kinda flimsy.
The stories of this season start off well, and usually with a intriguing premise. And the middle part of the story follows on from this with some decent build up, but just when things start to get interesting, they suddenly slap in these rushed endings that don't live up to the rest of the episode and feel unsatisfying.
And this also leads to having underdeveloped supporting characters. Honestly with this episode I couldn't care less for the other people who were part of the robbery. Or the villain lady either. I don't even remember any of their names, that's how unimportant they felt to me.
I'd say that these episodes really would have been better served if they were even 20 minutes longer, just to help build up characters and not have the endings be so rushed.
It was ok. Not the best episode but better than the last few weeks have been. It was nice to have an episode where not only was Clara not the main focus, she was in now way important. It was all the Doctor and she was simply along for the ride. Unfortunatly after seeing the teaser for next week it looks like Clara and her boring love life will be front and center again so I might give it a miss.
It was an alright episode, as an aside does anyone else think that the banks system alert voice sounded a lot like the narrator from the stanley parable?
It was alright, nothing overly special, but definitely not the worst episode in the series. I do find it pretty weird that they went with the whole "promised land" for the first, second, and mentioned it in the third, but it seems like they have dropped that entire story, which is kinda weird, especially considering that I was expecting to be a recurring thing during each episode, but I guess not.
As far as I'm aware, the TARDIS can't just warp into the vault for some reason, so the only time it was accessible (during the solar storm) was when the TARDIS couldn't warp in.
After that... well, before, the TARDIS would have no problem flipping about the tunnels leaving the briefcases around.

I figured it was him, played enough of that game so his voice was immediately recognizable, also something messed up in your quoting since i didn't say that first message you responded to.
