Yeah, I do it all the time, which is why I love that this site tells me when I get quoted.

There, I just made your life worth living. The only time I don't like being quoted is when people are quoting me because they dissagre with me. It's not that I don't like arguments (I guess from that you could call me a troll) and I infact enjoy having the oppourtunitie to learn from my mistakes and see how others see the world. I just hate it when they flat out say somthing like "ur supid just go kil urselv" or only quote me to sorrect my spelling/grammar. Although I would not mind someone letting me know what times to use a semi colon.Edit: Now I'm sad noone quoted me.
I wish I knew the proper rules behind the semi-colon also.

I do that too. I thought it was pretty sad, but oh well. If this many people do it, it doesn't really matter.

We're all sad together.

I do that, but mainly to make sure the thread is dead and some loser isn't using my comment to show how stupid I am and how right he is. That's how trolls do it!

If someone complimented something you said on a live conversation, wouldn't you fell good?

Then how is it sad if you did feel good about it online? An insight is an insight, wherever.

But if you're bored, go find something fulfilling to do other than reading compliments online. Please.

PS.: Intelligent discussion is never a waste of time.

Frequently and more than once on occasion. If I have been quoted it is generally either agreement, praise or an argument. The former two are pleasant to read however the latter may require a rebuttal and I love a debate.

I have a bad feeling that if this thread gets popular and people start doing what you've done, my inbox is going to be full of the "YOU'VE BEEN QUOTED!!" crap

I get quoted a fair bit but not as much as I used to, I like getting quoted though because it's nice to have thoughts shared with people. I also like getting praised for saying something funny so essentially it's a good feeling for me.

Sometimes when I'm bored or think I have been really clever or funny when I post a comment on a site, I like to go back and see if anyone has quoted me or commented on it. Does anyone else do that or am I just clinging to scraps that maybe someone will validate my existence on a website I don't even care about?

EDIT: I'm not only talking about on the escapist, I do it on sites like youtube and I-am-bored all the time
of course I do. I sometimes check back days later even.

Honestly I do it to see if a joke I thought was funny was actually funny.

Often it isn't.

A semi-colon is used to separate two complete sentences instead of using a period or a comma follow by certain words(Like for and nor but etc.)...I just took Eng 111 and my teacher drilled that shit into my head.
