I think the subject is rather self-explanatory. I'm curious if anyone else on this site blogs, is planning on blogging, or has blogged? Any neat stories to tell? Any questions? Any idiotic trolls downvoting your posts to one star for kicks?

To answer the obligatory question: Yes, I am blogging. Have been for over two years now. Started on ModDB, briefly tried Wordpress, and presently it's amongst Game Informer's blog community while I refine my writing.

Well?

Use Our Forums Appropriately said:
Our forums are a place to talk with like-minded people, not a place to advertise your blog, webpage, YouTube channel or commercial enterprise. Your profile has a place for such things, and that is where it should stay.
You can put a link to your blog on your profile, but please don't do it on the forums. (You can feel free to direct people to your profile, to find a link to your blog. That's fine.)
I apologize, it slipped my mind. I really need to break my habit of writing posts when I'm tired. It won't happen again, I assure you.

Yeah, I blog.

But I find it insanely hard to keep my posts weekly. x_x

I've got about a dozen or so posts up, most are a written let's play for a Nuzlocke run of Pokemon diamond, and the others are reviews for stuff (mark of the ninja, Vampire the masquerade bloodlines).

I really, really need to get back to it... x_x

I have one on my profile but I hardly ever update it. Like at all. Ever.

...

I should fix that but there are so many games I could be playing instead!

I'm going to be starting a kind of video blog soon but it's still in design phase right now. It's definitely an odd format from a regular V-blog, it being scripted and done in a kind of Movie Bob Big Picture (he's a major influence) style animation. Though within it I won't be talking about my everyday life (that would be boring), I'll just be talking about anything interesting I've come across. Whether it be a game, comic, anime or new article, just talk about my views and hopefully entertain some people with my one man scripted podcast thingy.

I don't know if you would count it as a blog though I wanted to do something of the sort but with my lack of writing skills I found my self thinking I could produce a higher quality of work if I were to use my voice instead. I would like to also do some writing but I'm not sure where to start, any of you dedicates got any tips?

I blog.

I'm actually not the type of person who likes to unload all of her issues on other people, so I prefer having a neutral medium where I can just get everything off my chest without the other person feeling as though they need to acknowledge my problems or offer some kind of solution.

Blogging is like the perfect solution. I've tried a lot of different journal sites in my time, but I've recently settled with DreamWidth, simply because they're more stable than LiveJournal and offer me the same control over my journal's privacy.

Every now and again I feel as though I should try and maintain a public blog (gaming related, as opposed to a personal blog) but it's not something I actually have the motivation or determination to stick with right now.

I dunno if what I do counts as blogging but I write articles and have interviewed people (including Jim Sterling and Miracle of Sound) at Trash Mutant (I'm co-creator). I find it hard to blog about myself because I think I'm kinda boring.

I did back when they didn't call it a 'blog' then it became popular so I stopped. Well, actually I stopped because I wasn't in college anymore and actually was/have been doing too much to sit down and write about it.

I've got one. There's a link to it on my profile if anyone's that interested.
It's only really about video games and my opinions on them. It would be about the general going ons in my life, but if it were then it'd probably still be about videogames. I'm that boring.
I have managed to keep it updated weekly for a couple of months though. I'm actually pretty proud of that.

I post on Tumblr daily (I actually think I post there more then here to be honest), but I'm not entirely sure that counts as "blogging" per-say.

I use my blog, in part, to chart my split personalities. For example, I think in the space of a year I wrote two pieces called 'Video Games are Fucked' then 'Video Games Have Never Been More Creative'.

For the most part, I stick to writing about weird foreign films and bad music videos.

I made a tumblr awhile ago but I haven't used it much since then. Could probably blog a lot but a lack of people listening to my insanity makes it less likely to happen.

I do have a blog but only really update when there's something I specifically want to talk about, whether that be that, unlike most students, I'm not much into going to nightclubs or which horror movie villain I think is the best. I will add a link to my blog on my profile if anyone wants to check it out.

I do, started it to promote a book I wrote, but I write about the writing process and themes and pretty much only writing and book related stuff.

That aside, I know Tumbler is really popular. Can someone explain to me what it is exactly? I've looked at it and looked up things that interest me and I still don't get it at all.

I sound like an old lady here.

..uh... Social Media-fied blogging for lazy ASDs?

Social Media: you 'follow' and 'like'
Blogging: well, it's works like a blog, after all
lazy ASD: well, the actual term is 'microblogging', as it caters more for small and fastly digestible bits of stuff but that's really up to you.

I have two myself, one is the outlet of - see above - smallish creative or whatever things, set up to nicely nest in my website, the other for random pictures taken on my phone[footnote]of course[/footnote]

It's however important to stay away from the 'Tumbleverse' as far as possible: it's full of kids playing "curators" by copypasting every bit they find elsewhere to make themselves "artsy", I guess... and due to the ease of tumblr's customization you may find yourself wondering how you ended up in MySpace. The sparkling fairies have surely found a new home.

bottom line: Since my use of tumblr does not at all intermix with the above unpleasantries, I quite like it as blogging service.

I tried a few times but never really got into it.
It takes so much time out of my life.
