Does anyone else think Duke Nukem Forever will suck balls of steel?

And why not release it? I'm tired of everyone constantly not shutting up about it.

You can think about the game what you will, but no FPS designer is going to make JUST a campaign in todays day-and-noob-tube-age. It might be thrown together just to be there, sure, but i think its a little silly to assume they wouldn't have multi-player at all. especially when this is a 14-years in the making comeback. they are going to want people to enjoy it to the fullest extent and for the longest possible time.

Also, i've never played a duke nukem game. this is going to be my first as I totally plan on buying it once it hits used game seller stores.

EDIT: Never mind a lot of Halo shit and Gears of Snore under that gamer-tag, I'm positive you don't know what a good game is now.

Countless times, taking into concideration that nothing implemented story or realism back then, I loved it. Though now, it seems dumb.
EDIT: Knowing you probably haven't even played either of those great games, I will just ignore your edit rather than being a jerk like you.

I got the escapist today, and I saw something that made me die inside... Duke Nukem Forever was going to be realeased. I was pissed. How could they do such a thing??? But my anger about how the biggest videogame joke in history was about to die soon faded, and I proceded to watch the trailer. And I was not impressed by any aspect what so ever. The graphics were meh, the gameplay looked complicated and boring, and it seems to emphasis tits and male genitalia too much. If you ask me the entire thing looks like a fucking joke. It is my belief that the 9 guys still working on it just rushed through and put as many tits in the game as possible. (Not that I'm saying tits are bad, but they are only nice to a certain extent, espically in video games.)

But lets seriously look at this,
I doubt there will be online, and just a 10 hour rushed through campeign. The gameplay looked clunky as well. If you asked me, I would say they need to take another year on the game, and then realease it. But the thing I really hate about it is how it is selling for full price. I would never by it, unless the game is exceptional in every aspect.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. But to me, the game should have remained like it's name. DNF.

For me it looks ultra super fun. It is stupid, loud, violent, and crude and I wouldnt want Duke any other way. The one thing that I do not like is that it seems that you can only carry two guns which is a shame because I want my piss weak starting pistol next to my nuke launcher.

They should have incorperated triple wielding.

I mean that in keeping up with all of the awsome old-schoolery that they should have had the "magic pants" inventory system.

Yeah I got what you ment, I still think that with how silly the game looks, that should be in there.

Also to kinda go with the title of the thread I will be buying the biggest steel ballbearings that I can find when I get this game.

The should have just put that in the balls of steel edition.

Not to add gasoline to the fire, but your name is basically Masterchief. Which implies that Halo is your favorite game, which implies that it was one of your first FPS games (if not your first). If this is the case, then you didn't play Duke Nukem 3D when it first came out, so you probably don't understand the appeal.

I have these openions because thats what the trailer tried to imply to the audiance, "OMAHGOWDS! LOOK! BOOBIES!" That's all it said to me, funny 15 years ago, boring now.

Gearbox made Borderlands.

Borderlands is a stellar, original, highly polished, massive game that received tons of support after release.

My first FPS was a Star Wars game on PS1, I didn't play halo until a year after the second ones realease. No, I didn't play Duke Nukem 3D when it first came out, but I have indeed played it many times. I found the game funny, espically for it's time. But now that everyone has grown up, I think it will fall into the immature audiance section.

Duke Nukem was never a clever game, in it's entire course and/or lineage, I honestly have no idea what you were expecting and why you need to voice your opinion on a game that's not even released as of yet.

Also, it seems to have a lot of the more insane/funtastic elements from older shooters melded together with FPS advances similar to Painkiller/Bulletstorm, which I think is another selling point. And the unique subject matter that comes with the Duke is yet another. When you break it down, you can still have low expectations of it, but you at least can't say that it'll be another generic FPS.

Sorry about your vaporware joke disappearing. Maybe you can become a Type-Moon fan and start anticipating Tsukihime 2.
